    Sorry... this completely trash. There's no creativity at all. Some songs are just dumb lyrics, same beat and one song is cover by Baby Rexha's demo version.And they don't even give her proper credit. And pink venom completely stealed lyrics from Legendary black artists.

There’s literally no tale to tell, no coordination or story telling. Concepts are nonexistent. The sampled instrumental especially in shut down was ofcourse great.     They didn't evolve at all. It's supposedly the most awaited kpop album of the year, after 2 years of hiatus, but it just sounds bland and more of the same to me. The lyrics are super cringe and they keep repeating the same formula and themes from all their releases. The main tracks as always full of repetitive catchphrases, "ratatas", empty lyrics that brag about their life and fame andThey didn't evolve at all. It doesn't speak to me and it's honestly tiring to keep hearing it from them all the time, feels like that's all the group is about. It also bothers me how the two main tracks are essentially the same in this aspect. Typa Girl and Tally also have cringe and imature lyrics in my opinion, but although I like the vocals for Typa Girl, I just can't listen to these songs. Yeah 3x and Hard to Love were the ones that stood out the most to me. Overall it's an album that feels almost roughly done or rushed, it doesn't have sentiment and sincerity and just repeats their formula milking their so called "identity".… Expand

    Big improvement from previous album. My favorite song is yeayeahyeah and hard to love. I like that they didn't rely on beat drops on this album except for yyy, but it was not the usual bp beatdrop. It was more free.

And last "Ready for love", this is a party song, the beat was made to dance to and just let go, and its about to be ready to plunge into falling inlove and wishing for your partner to plunge with you.     I really love the 2ndtrack is very cool and different I don’t listen kpop but this album is really different and good, track3 is another level . Kpop is fun, cute & girly but Born Pink is really different just I love and I hope they still doing something like this

    Loved this album and I guess my only complain would be that it's too short. But each song showed different skills of each of the members and songs can be fun like Shut Down or Typa Girl or heartbreaking like The Happiest Girl. Other than its length, it was a great experience.

Thanks BLACKPINK for saving music, this album is a masterpiece and there are no skips. I love every single track, Lisa’s vocals are heaven, that girl knows what she’s capable of, shes fire. Jisoo is the prettiest woman alive, and her dance and vocals are no joke

    Waited 2 years, what a disappointment. Their music has been going downhill everything time they release something new. This album is worst than the one before. The lyrics are cringe and the instrumental can be better.

    I mean honestly. There is no growth or maturing with their albums. No direction into the future nor do I expect things to change. 6 years into their career and this album is nothing special. The lead track fails to capture or prove why they are so popular. Popularity doesn't always mean good music. I am so disappointed

    The beat is just copy paste ... nothing new. Seriously hire a better producer. I was expecting something new after waiting for 2 years but I was disappointed. Rosé and Lisa's album was far better than this .

    In between the groups main writer and producer, Teddy, using his famed, archaic ‘Blackpink formula’, second hand, throwaway songs from western artists, which have had almost zero personal touches made to separate them from their origin into being a ‘Blackpink song’ and the rest of the album being generic, unremarkable songwriting, which could have been sung by any artist out there… I thinkIn between the groups main writer and producer, Teddy, using his famed, archaic ‘Blackpink formula’, second hand, throwaway songs from western artists, which have had almost zero personal touches made to separate them from their origin into being a ‘Blackpink song’ and the rest of the album being generic, unremarkable songwriting, which could have been sung by any artist out there… I think it’s fair to say that, as always, the excruciatingly long wait was not based on quality vs quantity, as much as it was a ploy to starve dedicated fans into being grateful for anything being released, regardless of the quality. As we’ve come to expect from Blackpink, this album is rife with the “I’m better than you” lyrics, which at this point are starting to seem like a desperate cry for validation that this is in fact the case, rather than it being a sure, yet cocky statement. We also have the ever present misogyny dressed up as empowerment and feminism. The “I’m not like other girls at all” (seriously, they use that exact line in the song ‘Typa Girl’) really just pushes this album into the murky depths of tearing other women down in order to lift themselves up.

    Sonically, the album is passable and generic at best, and at worst, is an example of questionable production, poor vocals and recycled, tired material. It sounds like it was thrown together in a couple of weeks, a month at most. It is certainly not a great product to come out of a whole two years of inactivity. Maybe avid fans can reach to the heavens, and wring out something positive from ‘Born Pink’ due to it being the only offering they’ll likely get for another couple of years. However, from the perspective of an unbiased music lover, I must say, this is a way below average release and possibly one of the most disappointing albums I’ve heard in a long time.    … Expand

The main single Shut Down should’ve been called Let Down the way it crushed all of the hopes we accumulated over their hiatus of 2 years. The album is only 8 songs long with 2 being pre releases, and uninteresting ones at that. The rest are incomprehensible English songs speckled with a few Korean words. They all have the same I’m a boss **** with brand deals lyrics over a heavy edm/techno beat however which made it seem like they’re all the same song. Most of them are American artists’ rejects as well. There’s also a random English solo by the main vocalist which could’ve easily been on her album that was released last year. So in reality the album is 3-4 new songs :/ It feels like Blackpink lost their identity with this release and lost most of their fans too. Hopefully they disband soon and are freed from the shackles of their company.… Expand

    Não imaginava mas elas conseguiram se superar com esse segundo álbum, a batida e a musicalidade está perfeita, algumas músicas com uma vibe retrô deixou tudo maravilhoso, não dei nota máxima porque senti falta de mais faixas, de resto ta ótimo.

    This album is totally worth the 2-year-wait. The album is the upgrade version of their first album. The hip-hop vibe, the classical music, the retro, the ballad, everything is fantastic. The only thing I want to change is the number of songs, at least two more pieces will be perfect. Blinks had been waiting for too long. Hope that BP will give a deluxe version of this album.

    It was reccomend by someone on twitter so i went to check it out. The whole album was bad. One of the somg was bebe rhexas rejects. Do not reccomend unless you like noise and cringy lyrics.

There was no consistency or harmony whatsoever it’s like they compiled a bunch of songs and put them all in one album and called it a day. The only revolutionary thing about this album is how incredibly disappointing it is with nothing to stand out except maybe “happiest girl” which by itself I found out was an unreleased song for another artist and that sounded exactly like that demo with no changes or personal touches, but it still sounds the best between all records unfortunately.… Expand

    Despite its runtime of 24 minutes, the BLACKPINK girls were able to showcase their different and brand new sides in their sophomore album. The tracks are unique from their previouses releases but still able to keep their hip-hop and rap branding. Being a group of three koreans and a thai did not even hinder them from singing English songs and enunciating the words well.

    As usual their songs never fail to amazed me. It keeps getting better and better. I just hope that it has more songs. I need to hear more songs from them. My fav bside tracks are yeah yeah yeah, happiest girl and hard to love. I love pink venom so much too.

    O álbum trouxe uma estética e uma visão diferente do que vi Blackpink em 'The Album', diferente do seu antecessor que literalmente era um álbum só de singles, o Born Pink trouxe um lado mais romântico e músicas mais lentas, onde podemos ter mais destaque das integrantes do que batidas que são feitas pra não te deixar parado. Algumas músicas na minha opinião são mais do mesmo, mas aindaO álbum trouxe uma estética e uma visão diferente do que vi Blackpink em 'The Album', diferente do seu antecessor que literalmente era um álbum só de singles, o Born Pink trouxe um lado mais romântico e músicas mais lentas, onde podemos ter mais destaque das integrantes do que batidas que são feitas pra não te deixar parado. Algumas músicas na minha opinião são mais do mesmo, mas ainda assim consigo ter uns pontos fortes no final. 'Typa Girl' senti uma versão 'Pretty Savage pt2', porém que não grudou tanto como ela. E logo mais temos 'The Happiest Girl', que é uma das que mais gostei no álbum. Yeah Yeah Yeah, Hard to love e Tally me lembraram muito filmes de comédia romântica dos anos 90 e inicio dos anos 2000 e eu simplesmente AMEI! (Só acho que Yeah Yeah Yeah poderia não ter o eletrônico, acredito que não casou com a música). No geral, as primeiras faixas podem acabar afastando alguém que queira ouvir pois destoam totalmente do restante apresentado. Considero que a escolha pra single e title do álbum não foram muito acertadas, mas não vejo outra música que teria potencial pra ser o single comercial do álbum.
