Boys is where they solidify that position and really start to have some fun with it.
  2. May 11, 2015
They’ve never really risen to heights that maybe they should have scaled but with so many infectious pop melodies lurking under the fuzz, it’s just as remarkable that they remain on the periphery of their genre.
  3. Uncut
    May 11, 2015
It's a savvy and sweetly skewed set. [Jun 2015, p.73]
  4. May 15, 2015
It’s almost as if the first half of the album is comprised of songs that Crocodiles had finished writing by the time they got to the studio, and the second half is all of the stuff that they came up with while they were there. And this exploratory spirit is where Boys finds its strength.
  5. Jun 3, 2015
The results are assuredly in Crocodiles' wheelhouse with the occasional surprise.
  6. May 11, 2015
It’s not enough to make an album that blends inoffensively into the background. Psychedelia is supposed to be mind-bending, not just some minor flavouring to add to your very average indie-pop songs.
  7. May 11, 2015
Their shot at “salsa-punk” on new album Boys, though, misses the mark when it comes to differentiating them from the garage boilerplate.
