I was straight before delighting my ears with this. Cher's best work since Believe.

When you thought things couldn’t get any gayer, bam, cher cover abba. Maybe a ultimate gay anthem?

Cher again breaks stereotypes, proving that age does not matter! The album sounds modern, complete and very high quality! Listening to the new album of the goddess of pop is impossible not to throw into the dance! Cher created one of the best albums on the market in the last few years!

I can finally understand maths: Cher plus ABBA equals a magnificent piece of art. This is probably the album that we've all been waiting for unconsciously, Cher this year demonstrated she know how to make bussinness, because she grew more success with her magnificent perfomance in Mamma Mia¡ Here We Go Again, and with this album I think people are going to realize who is the REAL goddessI can finally understand maths: Cher plus ABBA equals a magnificent piece of art. É incrível como Cher consegue fazer com que as músicas pareçam que foram escritas por ela e para ela, com uma qualidade musical que só a Deusa do Pop consegue entregar

Best Cher since Believe. Her voice, amazingly, has never been better. And these songs sound like they were written for her. Cher magic.

Cher is not trying to make some dark, profound, or otherwise groundbreaking statement here. Instead, she has created something light, camp, consistent, and unpretentious. It's not the earth shattering, club-revolutionizing material that was "Believe", but it's not trying to be. It's fun, electric, anti-serious, and entirely Cher-motivated (she loves ABBA and this album was her idea). At the end of the day, appreciate that this is the type of thing we just might absolutely need from a Cher in her mid-70s. When viewed as exactly what it is supposed to be, it is really quite good at accomplishing what it is meant to: Dancing Queen is pure gay fun. In this day and age, that is exactly what we need. The party standards are present and correct. ‘Mamma Mia’ is as dizzying good and gay as you’ll get, the aural equivalent of downing three bottles of pink fizz in an Uber with Magic FM, getting pissed with your pals, on the way to the best night of your life. ‘Waterloo’ crashes in on glam-rock drums, a pantomime dame in silver thigh-highs, as she battles and bosses that irresistible chorus. ‘SOS’? Not even going to talk about it. It’s a double-dunt of serotonin; a sure-fire cure for sadness.

You can enjoy the album and still wish that producer Taylor had done more to put a new or distinctive signature on this time-honored material. Well, actually, he adds one trademark touch fairly often: The overt AutoTune phasing that made his collaboration with Cher on 1998’s “Believe” so memorable returns here any number of times.

The 72-year-old makes ABBA songs not only sound like they should’ve been written for her in the first place but like they firmly belong in 2018, a feat considering the sometimes deliciously dated production and performance of many of ABBA’s biggest hits.
