    It's a drift from the funner, more creative Zombie EP, and despite the extra punk-esque shouts and industrial sound effects, Dead Throne is more on the generic side of metalcore and refuses to give The Devil Wears Prada any reason to reach outside of their primary fan base. However, that's not saying the album's a bad thing, which it definitely isn't. And Hranica's vocals have progressively improved as well, become one of the most innovative unclean vocalists in the 2000s. Expand

    While Dead Throne is certainly more mature and wiser than the band's previous material, Dead Throne succumbs to a far more generic and underwhelming sound that fails to reach outside of their primary fan base, despite its fusion of straightforward metalcore, industrial-influenced sound effects and synthesizers, and 1990's punk-esque shouts.
