Ever year has that bad album who every people wish was good. Just basic pop music.

It's a good album, but not THAT good. She just created an album that sounds exactly like her first one. I get it, is her thing, bust i was expecting something new (and better). Too much expectation and time waiting for something that i already have heard.

Too many screams and overrated album. I don't see the point in it, it sounds too weird.

I really don't get it, I feel like my time has been wasted. Seems to take influence from 'hold' music, but it's no Opus No 1.

This is a very, very poor imitation of Imogen Heap.
Do none of you ever listen to music older than a month and recognize plagiarism when you hear it?

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Es un álbum que usa lo mismo que otros, bases pegadizas comerciales. Nada experimental. Lo que si me gusta es las notas de instrumentos de fondo. Expand

With Desire, I Want to Turn into You, Polachek breaks free from outside expectations and transforms her inner anxieties into an intoxicating pop euphoria.

She delivers an effortless balance between ambition and accessibility, offering a record that is both a deeply layered work of art and full of euphoric escapist joy. Even though it is still early in the year, Desire, I Want to Turn Into You is already a strong contender for the best pop album of 2023.

Both Welcome to My Island and I Believe are true pop bangers, and Smoke has an arrestingly powerful bassline that melds beautifully with her shimmering voice. Still, there are enough missteps for my palate that keep this squarely in the “just fine” column and keep me scratching my head about its overall reception.
