    While Pang made me feel like I was wading through the mist of a night of dreams, Desire leaves me feeling a sense of golden nostalgia while staying modern and maintaining the elements of Caroline's music style that I fell in love with in the first place

    Caroline drives we to a magic, nostalgic and mindblowing experience that causes countless sensations and awakens thousands of memories. The feelings of deep and bright explode in contrasts that give us an intimate and dark feeling but that quickly transforms into something magical, comfortable, cozy and fresh.

    Literally one of the best albums i’ve ever heard. From the creativity, lyrics and vocals to the production, mixing, mastering. This album has a very earthy feeling to it and it’s amazingly cohesive without being boring or repetitive.

    This album is a volcano erupting and Caroline is giving us a bird's eye view of the whole ordeal, whilst her lyrics serve as the narration through the whole journey, always synergizing with the soundscape.

    Caroline could do exactly what she meant to with this piece. While reading her comments and the lyrics to the songs, I saw myself entering in a beautiful experience like no other. Not like Polachek, the majority of artists nowadays can't include such diversity and experiments in an album and still sound so cohesive and creative like her.     Well that’s for sure a trip, and for her island she took us indeed, fresh and sunny as dark and gloomy, her vocals clear as water, the siren gave us the album of the year.

    Fabulous album. Every song is perfect. This album was much more instant for me than Pang, which felt underwhelming upon release. Desire is everything that I wanted and more from Caroline.

    This album is pure artistry. This is what every music artist should be striving to make. This is groundbreaking art pop music that is just the highest of quality you can get. The production throughout the album is so unique and intriguing. Caroline's vocals are angelic and just really top off what is a masterpiece of an album.

    It's a great album, it's like I'm going to heaven listening to it. It is clear that Caroline has put a lot of effort and work into creating such a beautiful masterpiece. All the singles released before the album impressed me with their creativity, especially Billions, which became a wonderful closing track.

    Has been a good experience listen to this album! Every time one more thing can be find through this perfect production. The vocals probably make you feel in a ethereal experience.

    Caroline Polachek é uma artista única que não consigo associar a outros. Óbvio que tem suas inspirações, como qualquer artista, mas sua identidade e voz não se assemelham a nenhum outro. Nesse álbum ela cria uma imersão. Você é apresentado ao universo do álbum com a faixa de abertura, segue dentro da cabeça dela e depois volta para a realidade com a faixa que encerra. Não é fácilCaroline Polachek é uma artista única que não consigo associar a outros. Óbvio que tem suas inspirações, como qualquer artista, mas sua identidade e voz não se assemelham a nenhum outro. Nesse álbum ela cria uma imersão. Você é apresentado ao universo do álbum com a faixa de abertura, segue dentro da cabeça dela e depois volta para a realidade com a faixa que encerra. Não é fácil identificar uma estrutura nas músicas, pelo menos não na maneira mais comum que conhecemos, mas ele e tão confortável e limpo de ouvir que você não quer sair dali. Destaque também para os visuais incríveis dessa era, e aqui eu destaco a imagens que ela foi divulgando. Os clipes, claros, são bem mais simples, ainda mais em se tratando de uma artista que provavelmente não tem tanto recurso como intérpretes do mainstream.
    É um trabalho milimetricamente pensado, nada aqui é colocado aleatoriamente, e pela primeira vez em 9 anos (isso aconteceu antes com o Goddess da BANKS) eu dou like em todas as faixas de um álbum. Esse é um dos melhores trabalhos da história da música, e falo isso sem favoritismo, mas porque ela é incrível.    … Expand

    The album transported me to a whole different universe. To this island. It was comforting yet emotional. The vocals were perfect. The lyrics was amazing. The production was marvelous. It has album of the year energy.

    Sin duda Caroline se supero, un album perfecto, que muestra como ah crecido como artista, yo diria que es un album abstracto con una estetica hermosa, incluso se puedo ver en la portada de los singles anteriores, ella cuida el más minimo detalle en todo.

    I love the production and vocals on this album. I'm the biggest fan of Pang and songs such as "Ocean Of Tears" - and it's safe to say that she really outdid herself with Desire. I got to see her live last year and it was one of the most magical moments of my year. I'm so happy with this new album and I will definitely join her on her island. Top tracks so far: Billions, Butterfly Net andI love the production and vocals on this album.     Desire, i want to turn into you is a solid album and beautifull journey. Not ethereal or experimental as Pang, it feels more down to earth, realistic/rational and less fantasy-oriented and thats not a bad thing.

    Obviamente o justo seria ela concorrer ao AOTY e artista revelação, e diversas outras categorias! oque essa mulher tem de voz ela tem de talento e originalidade, merece todo o reconhecimento desde o “Pang”. Nessa nova era, ela se comprovou que é uma Artista e tanto, melodias e letras impecáveis, merece um 100 e merece ser mais reconhecida.

Não é sempre que recebemos músicas que nos fazem sentir tão elevados e como se estivéssemos ouvindo algo tão extraordinário nos fazendo questionar a possibilidade da existência de sonoridades tão majestosas.     Caroline Polachek delivered the perfect follow-up to Pang: An amazing album filled with well crafted pop tunes and world building soundscapes. This is definitely my favourite album of 2023 so far!

    Both Welcome to My Island and I Believe are true pop bangers, and Smoke has an arrestingly powerful bassline that melds beautifully with her shimmering voice. Still, there are enough missteps for my palate that keep this squarely in the “just fine” column and keep me scratching my head about its overall reception.
