With 16 songs 'DISCO' is a long album. And unfortunately, but this is reflected in the quality of the songs. There are some top songs but also a lot of album fillers. Fillers that all look alike after a few spins. Kylie was criticized on her previous record 'Golden' for wanting to combine too many different styles, but there was a lot of diversity on that record. We cannot say that now. With 16 songs 'DISCO' is a long album. And unfortunately, but this is reflected in the quality of the songs. There are some top songs but also a lot of album fillers. We cannot say that now. Some top tracks are 'Supernova', 'Say Something', 'Magic', 'Where Does the DJ Go?' and 'Celebrate You'. This 'DISCO' era started very strongly with singles like 'Say Something' and 'Magic' but is now disappointing overall. Expand

The album is not her worst but definitely not her best work. The songs sounds exactly the same.

So the thing with this album that makes me give him a yellow critic is that it has some awesome hits such as "A Second To Midnight", "Real Groove" and "Magic", but then it gets repetitive somehow. Nevertheless, it's a triumphant comeback for the australian singer.

Honestly it’s good but I feel it’s missing something. Magic is the best song on the album so far.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Wow. Kylie always bangs out a good album but this is really superb. Having been a fan for years I really think she has found her old form and elevated it. This really is the Disco album fans have wanted for years. Really super production and tracks that really makes you feel joy and want to dance. This the album that 2020 needed Expand

As a collection of songs, Disco is a terrific soundtrack to washing the dishes or a dance-off. But this album itself underestimates its own artist, which is in a small way unforgivable.

Uncool is not bad, and if anything, DISCO could stand more of it: to evoke actual disco in all its frisson and desperation, rather than the remembered-40-years-later version, full of kitsch and clip-art disco balls. The album, with a couple exceptions, has two modes: overly tasteful cruise-ship programming, and gauche rehashes.

Disco is too much of a safe, shiny, frictionless crowd-pleaser to deliver much more than mildly entertaining retro pastiche. [Jan 2021, p.31]
