Divide soa como algo a brusco, capaz de trazer duvidas e certezas, assim e um bom Álbum. Dive , Perfect ,Galway Girl, são os ponto alto do disco, não podendo deixar de fora a balada How Would You Feel (Paean).

I'm a big fan of Sheeran and loved X so I was going into this with high expectations, and for the most part they were met. Eraser feels like it could have been on X, while Bibia Ye Ye is clearly something new. The album feels a little all over the place—though I think that's the point of the "divide" theme. It will be interesting to see if this album stays in my listening rotation as long as X did. Expand

It is quite a step away from what his previous albums have been like but at the same time he has gone back to his the types of songs he did previous year like 'Eraser' having that very British rapping that had on songs like 'Don't and 'You Know Me, But I Don't Know You'.

You can tell that this album is very cultured due to the production of songs on this album like 'Galway Girl' and 'Nancy Mulligan' which is very Irish since he collaborated with Irish trad/folk group, Beoga and 'Barcelona' a very uptempo track about the city itself and being free in it.

Judging by some songs on the album it is clear that this is quite an emotional album with songs like 'Dive' and 'Save Myself' translating Sheeran's raw emotion to not be led on by someone in 'Dive' and not being taken for granted by other people and look after yourself.

Overall, this album is really good, with standout tracks that you relate to like 'Save Myself' and 'What Do I Know?' the good old dance song like 'Shape of You', 'Barcelona' and 'Galway Girl'.

Favourite Songs: 'Galway Girl', 'What Do I Know?', 'Dive', 'Save Myself', 'Shape Of You','Nancy Mulligan'
Worst Songs: 'How Would You Feel (Paean)', 'Supermarket Flowers', Hearts Don't Break Around Here'

Good album. Beautiful lyrics, excellent production, the only bad track of this album is Shape Of You. Ed is proving that he is one of the best mainstream songwriters in the game right now.

the album is great and is in my opinion the best album of the year. the lyrics in the songs are beautiful. the production is really good and it includes different vibes and tunes we never heard from Ed before.

A Good record. Nothing overly special but enough to enjoy. Sheeran can sing well. Decent production. Not much to say but it is overall satisfying enough.

Rated it 7 out of 10. It has some of the best songs Ed has made on his whole career at the moment and his diversity is shown here. He entered the Irish influence in the mainstream industry and exposed it. Took some risks and it did surprisingly well. The album is great but x still stands out.

Loving it though! :) Hear it now!

This is his best album thus far. Lots of great songs. People giving it bad notes don't recognize Ed's amazing talent. I hope it wins lots and lots of Grammys.

This cheap pop-folk album did not deserve grammy Rainbow was so much better and Shape of You was the worst song of 2017 along with D-E-S-P-A-S-H-I-T-O

Generic trash to be honest. The Ed Sheeran from Plus is gone. Shape of You is a terrible over-played song (the lyrics are the worst part of the song), Galway Girl is utterly annoying with its failure to implement folk into his style. This album is totally garbage. When "Castle On The Hill" was out, I thought this would be a good album until I heard all of the tracks, I was poisoned, this album is the worst of the music industry along with Memories... Do Not Open by The Chainsmokers. I think Ed should retire and never make music again
The only good song from the album was "Castle On The Hill"

Divide is rather disappointing. Looking at Sheeran's other songs, it shows creativity, passion, and his inner emotions. Divide shows almost none of it. Besides "Save Myself" and "Supermarket Flowers", Divide is just Sheeran just giving in because of his fame. Ed Sheeran é um artista medíocre com músicas genéricas, não tem incremento e inovações em composições, instrumentais ou sequer relevância no cenário musical. I was hoping an album with quality is totally audible, but I was wrong. The album is totally flawed, it's not something that comes to be terrible, but bad. Hearing this, I could understand the kind of general sound he was aiming for, but he couldn't create compelling songs to achieve that vision, and create songs that are so-cohesive. There's a lack of focus.

Such a horrible album. But I'm not surprised at all, his previous work is bad as well, only generic songs. I would call this pop trash, because that's what it is.

Some great songs on here, but the more I listen to it the more I realise that it was just a quick money ploy. The great songs triumph and the bad ones fall in comparison. It's a massive shame considering the quality of his previous album 'X'. However, this is still a good album with mainly the first 4 singles as well as Erazer, Dive and New Man.

While still the same of Ed Sheeran, Divide is packed with pop gems like "Shape of You" and "Galway Girl" and is likely to boost Sheeran even farther into mainstream superiority.

It seems Adele and The Weeknd have influenced Sheeran by keeping their latest releases the same style.

With little exceptions, Divide fails to deliver freshness, as it can bore anyone who's not Ed's fan with it's repetitive themes and vocals, plus sounding very generic and formulaic if compared both with what's been popular for the last decade and with what Sheeran has put out over the years. An album that has aged very poorly in my opinion. It's flawed, overplayed and obnoxiously trite, but I will give it a 6 due to the handful of good tracks and the eclectic path Sheeran chose to attempt here. Still one of the better pop records.

I hate to say it because I am a huge Ed fan, but this album disappointed me. It sounds like he just put the most successful sounds from his last album and put them in a blender for this one. By far the most generic of his work, nothing new or exciting. Very pleasant music, but nothing special.

This album is not impressive like others. It's full of common lyrics and mainstream pop songs. Without personality, this album is so distant from the past two. Some tracks reminds to soul music, others to Irish music, others to alternative rock. But it's a generic pop album with some good songs (Happier, Castle On The Hill and Dive).

At best, we have a middling collection of songs that are going to sound great in a packed arena. At worst, it’s a pretty significant step back from X, and once the initial novelty of its release wears off, it’s unlikely to enjoy the popular acclaim or the longevity of its predecessor.

As calculating as Sheeran can seem here, he understands there’s a fine line between universal and generic, which is why he gives his songs the idiosyncratic touches they need to stand out.
