Gunna is the most boring, and generic rapper in the game, and his debut album Drip of Drown 2 is no exception. This Album gets boring very fast after like 4 tracks. His hooks, his bars, and his flows are not interesting at all, every track has the same sound, except the last track which sound completely different that the last 15 tracks. There's really not much to talk about in this boringGunna is the most boring, and generic rapper in the game, and his debut album Drip of Drown 2 is no exception. Literally the most boring album i've ever heard, if someone was pointing a gun at gunna and told him to be more energetic he would just pull the trigger by himself. Awful performance by gunna, bad hooks, boring beats, he sounds like he woke up from a coma and someone forced him to rap.

The first leg of Drip or Drown 2 is tolerable thanks to its aquatic aesthetic, but the album quickly devolves into mega-formulaic trap rap devoid of any character.

This was a pretty unlistenable, generic, boring and useless album. Gunna has some decent beats to rap over but he is too talentless to make the most of them. His performance here makes his performance on Drip Harder look like Biggie.

So many tracks slip through your consciousness, particularly with how much he sticks to the formula of chorus/verse/chorus/verse/chorus. His dullness sucks the life out of typically energetic guests like Playboi Carti, whose feature is less Die Lit and more Diluted.

Ultimately, Gunna sticks to his guns and delivers a solid effort that lives up to all the hype. He may not be the most innovative MC, but he continues to craft great bodies of work, which is what will cement his career, at the end of the day.

Gunna has a penchant for rapping over beats that include guitar, like on “Richard Millie Plain,” but he doesn’t use them for rock scabrousness. Instead, they’re caressing, soft-edged beds, elegant accompaniment for a rapper who makes his points with textures more than words. That said, there is a tenderness that peeks through here, not just in the gentleness of the sing-rapping, but also in some of the lyrics.
