    I have to admit that there's only a few numbers of albums that I could listen over and over again and this is one of them. Dua Lipa's music brings fun and freshness, it's new and good. Her voice is beautiful and with this hit album i see her going far in the future. Can't wait to hear more from her.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hace años que no escucho un album debut pop tan bueno (me atrevería a decir que desde The Fame), simplemente increíble. Lleno de energía, incluso con baladas melancólicas (como Homesick), que luego vienen acompañadas de potentes BOP (Dreams es un ejemplo claro).
    Vocalmente impecable, tiene un timbre de voz muy particular, algo mas grave de lo normal, eso la hace bastante distintiva al cantar una de sus canciones. Las letras muy buenas, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que ella tiene solo 20 años!

    One of the most amazing debut albums I've ever heard this year. Ever since Dua Lipa's nomination in the BBC Sound of 2016 poll, I just knew that she's going to make a hugely great potential. This is a truly decent pop album that is neither overrated nor underrated. The long wait for this album was totally worth it.

    I must admit, as a debut album, it’s actually pretty good, and it does leave me excited to see what Dua’s next project is going to sound like, but I don’t think it was worth the continuous push backs. She is able to be confident and sexy, and sing about ‘personal’ things like any modern album these days turns out to be about heartbreak, sex or drugs. It seems to have followed a similar direction as Zara Larsson’s debut. It kept being pushed back so that the album is “perfected in every way,” but it doesn’t seem like any more time was spent on it. More so, that it was pushed to the side until the artist could be bothered to do so.

    There’s no denying however that Dua’s attention to detail with lyrics and production as a whole is unquestionably defiant and really pushes the idea out, particularly for other females, to be more confident and more self worthy.

    It’s a great album, but I think Dua could do a whole lot better. This woman has so much potential and if she gets it right, she could be among the worlds biggest stars.    … Expand

    One of the best albums of this year, has a few cool rhythms without needing to fall into something monotonous, despite being a new singer has a lot of experience in this kind of thing. I love this record

    At last there was a debut album of Dua Lipa! So much waiting time is not past. It's a great start for a beginner, to be honest. A great pop sound, in which there is a fresh twinkle and a note of something old. There are so many masterpieces in this album! But my Top-3 is this: New Rules,Blow Your Mind and Be the One.

    Una gran forma de empezar. Estoy completamente perdido en la luz de Dua. Voz completa, buenas letras, frescas en la forma correcta. Ella solo tiene 20 años, así que será quien quiera, me hace optimista sobre el próximo álbum que será tan bueno como este fabuloso debut.

    What a great debut, Dua Lipa came to stay, her lyrics, her voice, what a combination of singles and album tracks, it's so good, this album is so underrated, I just can't stop listening to this album, when an artist do that to me is 'cause she did it well.

    A great way to start. I'm completely lost in the Dua light. Full voice, good lyrics, fresh in the right way. She's only 20, so she will be whoever she wants, makes me optimistic about the next album that will be as good as this fabulous debut.

    I hadn't seen a great debut album since Aquarius by Tinashe, it's a great way to start, she's a talented 20 years old woman. A good production, nice lyrics and her beautiful voice makes this album one of the best pop albums of this year so far.

    It is very rare nowadays to find a perfect album, however it is evident that DUA LIPA is an absolute masterpiece and one of the strongest bodies of work released since Taylor Swift's 1989 back in 2014.

Following comparisons to other young artists on the rise, that I will leave unnamed, you'd expect this album to be full of immature, regrettable, lyrics and decisions that leave the album lacking in structure and well-thoughtA fantastic, high-anticipated album that did not fail to deliver! For such a young artist it is surprising to listen to a debut album so confident, and self-assured. Following comparisons to other young artists on the rise, that I will leave unnamed, you'd expect this album to be full of immature, regrettable, lyrics and decisions that leave the album lacking in structure and well-thought out deeper cuts. For an album to contain both power-breakup-anthem 'IDGAF' and Chris Martin collaboration 'Homesick', and for them to both make sense and fit well within the context is a feat of it's own, but for them to both be full of emotional, evocative, lyrical content is something all together. A well written, pieced together, memorable debut - and that's not even considering her phenomenal vocals throughout. 10/10

    After more than a year of teasing with multiple singles and features, this album delivers on what could very easily have been a broken promise. Dua's voice is on point throughout the listening experience. Granted not every song is a slam dunk, however the whole album from start to finish is enjoyable at every stage. The track-list is studied and not random, the songs are all beautiful: from catchy up-tempo (like New Rules, Be The One, Blow Your Mind, Lost In Your Light...), to soulful ballads like Garden, Thinking Bout You and many others, to perfect mid-tempo with tropical infuses (Genesis). All of this is also improved by Dua Lipa deep and uniqueFor a debut album, this one is almost flawless.     Compared to the pop masterpiece that is Future Nostalgia, it’s not as good, but it’s a very solid debut project. Most of this is carried by vocal performances, as the songwriting isn’t the greasers, just ok. The production is mostly just kind of average too. Dua makes the album with her singing.

    This is one of the bests pop albums released until yet . The instrumental has a type of power in the song , but her voice it's nothing like the others singers . Dua Lipa , for sure , will give pop another " image " . A job that is so mature, undoubtedly deserves the highest mark . I can't wait for her next job , I hope it's going to be even better than this , perfect work

    Dua lipa has a good voice, i will not deny that, however, this album seems that it has only 6 songs. Sometimes you can miss where a song ends and where another starts. But the lyrics, even when they´re simple they are touching and relatable.

    Dua Lipa managed to go against everything that has been done in pop music today and brought an album that is really "music to our ears". It is worth listening to this album because although it does not seem to be so promising, the result is surprising.

Музыка на высоте, голос неподражаем, живые выступления яркие и зажигательные. Что еще нужно этим летом? Песни Дуа Липы, коктейль в руке и танцы до утра.Шикарный альбом!!! Um álbum que ao que em parte não mostra nada tão inovador, no entanto, Dua consegue cativar atenção suficiente pela sua voz e suas letras que junto com suas melodias formam um excelente trabalho pop, demostrando que merece atenção das pessoas e que pode se tornar uma grande artista pop.

    We have had many British musical greats in history and when I tell you Dua is one her to establish herself as one, im not even joking. From the Miguel assisted track "Lost in Your Light", which showcases her stretching vocal range to "New Rules" a song noting to stay away from the temptation of a man, Dua is proving herself with this outstanding debut.

    Amazing debut album. Full of upbeat but new sounding tracks. However, the production on a few songs are disappointing (Garden for example). The deluxe version has a bunch of catchy bops that really are some of the best songs on the album. Notable tracks: New Love, Be the One, Hotter Than Hell, New Rules and Dreams.

    Wanting to dive into a new artist, I gave Dua Lipa’s first (namesake) album a listen and for the most part I was very happy with it. I found that Dua Lipa tended to be at her best in her more energetic songs, which would then correlate to how newer songs like Levitating and Don’t Start Now became wildly popular. Enough on her newer stuff for now (I’ll get back to that once I listen to Future Nostalgia all the way through).

    I wish I could provide my entire song-by-song commentary, but the character limit will not allow me.

    Overall, Dua Lipa’s debut album was definitely not bad, especially the “Regular Edition”. The guitar/synth combos work very well in a number of her songs and I appreciated how she was not shy on drum volume and energy; makes for some very fun listening. While this approach worked for a majority of the tracks, there were a few that felt like there was a little too much going on at times. That being said, this was a pretty good starter album for Dua Lipa and I’m really eager to listen to Future Nostalgia because I have heard that it is a show-stopper. I would recommend this album to lovers of pop, but I would recommend even more listening to individual tracks instead of the entire album (either that or the first 12 songs of the album). Highlights: Genesis, Hotter Than Hell, IDGAF, Blow Your Mind, Garden, No Goodbyes, Thinking ‘Bout You, Begging, Bad Together, Running, Electricity, Scared to Be Lonely, and No Lie.    … Expand

    Dua Lipa showed the pop world that he did not come to play. The first album of the young girl, is a danceable and reflective pop and this is great for your first album! It has all its small details and still a great evolution I hope, a great hope that over the years is at the height of the pop world.

    O álbum é bom. Mas perde a essência na quantidade de faixas. Se reduzisse e deixasse mais compacto sem dúvidas melhoraria muito. Tem muitos álbuns que SIM... São perfeitos com 20, 25 faixas, mas o fato é que Dua Lipa foi para um horizonte já muito ultrapassado (várias divas do pop já se aventuraram em histórias de amor onde tem zé droguinhas, onde o amor é impossível, onde o amor estáO álbum é bom.     The album meets all expectations that Dua Lipa had deposited on us. This girl's voice is totally cohesive and tracks that have high peaks that are amazing, brings my best vision and album sound. I really cried dancing on the dance floor, and promise what's ahead of you.

    The Album Is Amazing, full of ballads to cry to like homesick or no goodbyes. But also pop hits that have made a big impact on the music industry like New rules or IDGAF. This is Dua’s Debut album and in it she offers a variety of pop that will make everyone happy and emotional. 10/10 album.
