    EP-2 is slightly better than EP-1, and Magdalena is a pretty good song, but as a whole the band still lacks the bizarre creativity and weirdness that made them what they are.

    Sad to say, there’s not a song on EP2 that sounds like it couldn’t have been banged out by a reasonably proficient group of session musicians.

    With EP2 having a three-month buffer after the first, we've had time to get used to fact that the Pixies are back in full force. Plus, these four songs are stronger than the first four.
