    This EP is a journey through the emotions and thoughts Jimin felt during the pandemic. The production, themes, vocals and visuals are addictive and it is well worth a listen.

    I was very proud of how Jimin's album turned out! It is both self reflective and fun. Like Crazy has an '80's vibe, with great choreo and Jimin's beautiful countertenor voice. I also love Set Me Free for it's majesty as a fight song of sorts! Alone is painfully raw, intimate and poignant. Beautiful work of art, Jimin!

    This is more an EP than an album for me, but even if it is short, is incredible the cohesion of it. In this album He is telling us a story, even the title of every songs gives you info about his story, with a beginning and an end. Is a great album, with really good lyrics. My favorite are: Alone, Like Crazy , Set me free Pt 2 and the beautiful hidden track: letter.

    Alone Set me free pt2 Interlude Face-Off. This album was beautifully made and I enjoyed listening to every song. Although the album might seem short, it had enough substance from the music to the arrangement of the song. The song I relate to the most was alone (I guess I’m a sucker for songs like that haha).     Jimin bringing something new to kpop, really not a genre I enjoy but his album sounds refreshing and organized. I specially liked Like Crazy, good vocals, addictive beat.

    This album is a masterpiece,the songs are arranged in such a beautiful way and it flows perfectly, the title track like crazy is something that i havent heard before in kpop songs its so fresh and vibey , set me free pt2 was a good choice for the pre release it got the epic vibes and the performance of Jimin in the song is so mesmerizing ,his soft voice in "alone" is so angelic its chillThis album is a masterpiece,the songs are arranged in such a beautiful way and it flows perfectly, the title track like crazy is something that i havent heard before in kpop songs its so fresh and vibey , set me free pt2 was a good choice for the pre release it got the epic vibes and the performance of Jimin in the song is so mesmerizing ,his soft voice in "alone" is so angelic its chill and pleasant to listen to , face_off is a perfect opener for the album it leaves you eager for more even the interlude is so well done , Jimin did such a great job with this album… Expand

    The album is pure perfection. Jimin's vocal range is astounding and he tries different genres here, showcasing his versatility as a singer. I don't feel like the album is too short. I think it perfectly encapsulates the story that Jimin wanted to convey to us. And I'm glad Letter was a hidden song. Beautiful as it was, I dont feel like it fit into this album. As a person who has followed the music world for a long time, I had in mind that Park Jimin would make an album more... "Colorful" and "sweet", which is an image strongly attached to him. When we think of Park Jimin, we think of BTS, a South Korean music group that has developed artistically and socially over the years. From their "old school" concepts, dark and gloomy images, consistent with the hip hop concept they brought, from rebellious boys who fought for the girl's love to sensitive guys who feel much more than love in their youth, with their songs from the mini album "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life 1" onwards, showing a more sensitive, reflective and dramatic side of them that we didn't know. BTS was one of the groups that surprised me the most over the years, and now, with their work as soloists, they surprised me even more.

    FACE by Jimin was a big surprise. The sweet and charismatic boy of BTS was gone, leaving room for a distressed young man, who was angry about his youthful frustrations, who was confused by the new stage of his life (during the pandemic), who was unrecognizable in his own eyes in front of the mirror, preferring to drink himself senseless rather than face his true self, who was afraid of having been alone for too long, who rebelled against his anxieties, and who later declared that his driving force was his fans, the ARMYs, who gave much love and strength. Speaking this way, we can see that Jimin's album is intertwined, it's like he's telling us a story, his story, and we just have to listen and interpret it our way.

    5 tracks in the digital discography, plus an additional one in the physical version of the album, we know Face-off, Interlude Dive, Like Crazy, Alone, Set Me Free pt 2 and Letter. Each song has its particularity, but they are interconnected, it's as if they happened in 48 hours (the story of the songs).

    Our journey begins with Face-off. A rebellious, angry and frustrated lyrics are present during the song, with its strong beat, demonstrating the adverse feelings that Jimin had for “someone”. I won't theorize too much here, but I have a strong impression that Jimin's revolt is against himself.

    In "Interlude Dive", we hear only sounds, with a few seconds of Jimin's sweet voice breaking through, as if he had arrived at his apartment, he seems to have been crying as he watched his performance at the Yet to Come In Busan concert, he went towards a cupboard, took something and some car keys, we heard the noise as he started his car, and seconds later, sounds of drink being poured and then swallowed. Where was Jimin? Why was there so much buzzing during this interlude? There are really many doubts I have about this track.

    Like Crazy. The first time I heard it, I realized how much this song has a sexy concept that involves us at first, but when I read the lyrics, I realized that the song is more melancholy than I expected. In the MV, we saw Jimin at a club, getting drunk, dancing, but he didn't seem to be really happy, as represented in the bathroom scenes where he stares at himself, as if he's feeling lost. Did he really need to drink so much and pass out so he didn't have to face his own reality? The scene of him staring at a woman so identical to him raised a question in my mind, but I think you may have already guessed. This song manages to bring so many feelings to us, both the rhythm, the lyrics and the video, without excluding the choreography that shows an unexpected and sensual side of Jimin to show his feelings.

    Alone is a ballad track, with the serene vocals of Jimin, who sang beautifully about his deepest thoughts and emotions. It's hard to imagine Jimin feeling lonely, being a pop star, the public usually only sees the lights, not the shadows. We only see the "good and promising" side of fame, and sometimes we don't realize that, behind that artist, there is a young adult of 27 years old who has dreams, plans and aspirations like anyone else.

    Set Me Free pt 2, Jimin's cry of independence, his liberation and singularities assumed in a song. In Lie, we had a Jimin who was involved in lies and felt trapped, in Serendipity, we met a romantic Jimin, who believes that good things can happen by chance. In Filter, we found out that he could be any version that would please us, but now, in Set Me Free pt 2, we just want him to be the version that pleases himself. Jimin freed himself from his fears and anguish, spread his wings (as in his photofolio) and now he can be the real Jimin, which he always wanted to be.

    And we have Letter, last. A letter of love and friendship from Jimin to his fans, who have supported him for almost a decade, who love him, who protect him, who do everything possible for this boy's complete happiness.

    FACE really showed us Jimin's faces. It was an extremely hard working album and seeing the results it is having on the charts makes me proud. Jimin really deserves all of this.    … Expand

    This album is a beautiful taster. The album was perfect, the only down side is too short. I love Like Crazy, I love every song and Jimin is a perfect and a complete artist

    Jimin breaks his comfort zone with this album. All songs give different vibes and so good. I especially love Like Crazy(sorry Set Me Free Pt.2 you used to be my queen, still my princess tho). I like Alone too, the lyrics and beats are so good, the way jimin singing both low and high notes, a masterpiece. Whenever I listen to FACE OFF, I got motivated and started swearing my past ex. ToJimin breaks his comfort zone with this album. All songs give different vibes and so good. I especially love Like Crazy(sorry Set Me Free Pt.2 you used to be my queen, still my princess tho).     I really loved the album from the start till the end. Jimin really explored his vocals and delivered beautifully. The genres differ and so does the story but it flows when you listen to the album in the order of tracklist. Jimin said he wanted to deliver a story and he made this album expressing his emotions and it really shows.     I’m so impressed by this album. It’s short but extremely well made and we get to really see what Jimin can do with his voice. The tracks, but especially Face-off, Interlude: Dive and Like Crazy, experiment with creating a rich sonic landscape where background sounds weave into the music. I like all the six tracks but Set Me Free Pt.2 is my favorite followed by Interlude : Dive, Alone and Like Crazy. Jimin's thoughts, pains, struggles during the pandemic has been well displayed.     While it’s a short EP, it doesn’t disappoint. If anything, he presents himself as a soloist with an unexpected sound for his high-pitched countertenor voice and very far from those earlier ballads we have heard from him.

    Its six tracks wrap all too quickly, and while it was specified that Jimin doesn’t consider this a full-length project, it does leave the listener craving more music in this vein somewhere down the road — it’s worth repeating that the energy of “Face-off” is one that he should consider chasing most of all.
