Obviously not as good as In search of... But just OK. It's missing a little bit of the first album funk and now songs really get you going the first time you listen to them except maybe she wants to move. The album finishes strong though with maybe, the way she dances and chariots of fire. PLus, the hidden tracks are good enough to be album materiel.

It gets this high of a rating b/c it is different than a lot of other music and there is several touches of creativity. However, different doesn't always warrant that it is going to be good. Other than a couple of songs it was hard to really feel the beat and get into what they were trying to accomplish on the song.

This CD is a HUGE letdown for me. None of the tunes are really catchy, except for "Fly or die", and "Maybe" is OK too. The rest of the choons are just average, and they are the reason why Online music stores are getting more users everyday (who would want to buy a $20 CD with 2 average tunes on them?). The second edition of "In Search Of" (their previous album) is still the best one so This CD is a HUGE letdown for me. It's often fascinating only in the details. [May 2004, p.110]
  2. The whole album is put together so oddly, almost haphazardly, that this works better as a collection of moments than as a whole.
  3. Listening casually is OK, as you can get by the annoying Pharrell and enjoy some of the silly retro groves. But pay any degree of actual attention and there are problems.
