It is a decent folk record. The beginning and closing of the album are strong and adventures but in the middle, it gets weaker as the same ideas are repeated. There is nothing bad here. Very simple and atmospheric. Someone with an interest in nordic folk might enjoy it more than me.

Um dos melhores álbuns que já ouvi! Suas músicas fazem eu me teletransportar para os países nórdicos e toda a sua cultura antiga! Não tem um dia sequer que eu não ouço esta obra prima.

A masterfully constructed – and sequenced – collection of songs to get lost in over the coming months.

If you believe a true artist is offering you an invitation to enter their world and follow them somewhere unexpected, then you'll find a lot to enjoy in Folkesange.

Across 12 tracks, it does get a little samey, but then again, individual songs aren’t the entire point here. This is a record that creates an atmosphere around itself, a world of its own, without sounding twee or like something from a real ale festival. A curio, maybe, but a heartfelt and skilfully realised one from a genuinely unique artist.
