She is the best female country singer actually, and Four The Record is one of the outstanding country album of the year!!! she left her country-pop side (like her previous album), this album is deeper and a really masterpiece!!! highly recommended!!!

Miranda stays true to her country roots on Four The Record and shows growth from the superb "revolution" even if the songs don't resonate as well. She's everything a country singer should be, ballsy, a remarkable storyteller and passionate as hell. Still so under appreciated in my opinion though.

Just like Miranda's previous music she does amazing with her album Four the Record. She stands out with the tracks Mama's Broken Heart, Dear Diamond, Over You, and Look at Miss Ohio.

While it may not be the best album Miranda has put out, (behind Crazy Ex and Revolution, and probably due to the heavier reliance on Nashville songwriters rather than her own skills) this easily cements her as the greatest country singer of today. Gorgeous, sassy, contemporary, stylish and heartfelt. 10/10.

Miranda serving a masterpiece once again. She tries something new with "Fine Tune" and does it in the best way, she opens up her heart in ballads like "Dear Diamond" and lets the listener breathless, and shows the rebel girl style we all love her for in cuts like "Mama's Broken Heart". No flaws spotted.

Sheer brilliance. This album takes country music to a completely different level. It is daring and is Miranda's best album to date. It is a wild ride full of wonderful lyrics and instruments that prove she is the best at what she does, and that is making albums.

A legend. Miranda showed how varied she could be both sonically and lyrically. She was saying things nobody else would dare to say in country music. A musical genius.

  1. This does wind down into your basic quality country album.

Four the Record retain all the pain and personality that drove those dark songs [of her first two albums] and redirects her energies toward some of her best and most eloquent singing and songwriting yet.

This is the weakest of Lambert's four big solo records, and overall it lacks the lively charm of Hell on Heels, her excellent August album with the supergroup Pistol Annies.
