Just okay. Sounds like a middle of the road emo album from the early to mid 2000s. Don't understand why everyone loves this so much.

    It's boring

Don't be fooled by the first two tracks and glowing critical reviews, listen to the whole album a few times and decide if it is for you before buying (if anyone still does that). For me, you could take 3-5 tracks and put them on repeat and have a much stronger and less monotonous album than the 15 tracks you'll find here. It really comes across as a collection of half-baked ideas almost never given room to bloom. A key example is "HUMANOID / SHAKE IT UP", which runs a mere 69 seconds but is really two different 20 second riffs glued together instead of developed into real songs. Expand

Both vital and respective of the listener's time at just under 35 minutes, Glow On rolls in like a violent, late-summer storm and pummels the power grid but mercifully leaves the lights on.

It's wildly accessible and I think what works the most is you just wouldn't be able to tell what kind of band they really are and what's their definitive sound -- which is a beautiful chaos that works in Turnstile's favor.

They’ve managed to pace their listeners through sonic wreckage while being a little more daring in doing so. Synths, chipmunked vocals, and R&B flair don’t suggest this is the future of hardcore, but these elements do indicate that the genre’s future is more encompassing, and it will have this record to thank.
