Oct 6, 2022Gulp! I found a damn good band. I wondered why Sports Team as a name and found that the lead guitarist used to be a sports reporter for CNN. Love the rhythm and lead guitar work with no overbearing shouting vocals you can actually follow the lyrics. Just a lot of all around pub musicians that met in college with a strong sense of dry humor-love it! The house is rockin!

Sep 27, 2022While lyrically bleak, Gulp! delivers its pessimism with fist-pumping enthusiasm for the most part, at least until the meditative, Kinks-evoking closer "Light Industry" emphasizes life's repetition on the album's one true outlier, like a final wink and a nod.
