    Amazing album, she definitely went to the next level on her career. The songs sounds very different one to another, but the whole material is very cohesive and works perfectly. Billie was able to show interesting sides of her and opened up about her life. The title track is absolutely perfection.

    It feels great watching her getting older, being more confident and experiment a bit more with her music. Halley's comet, Billie Bossa Nova, Oxytocin, NDA, Happier Than Ever and Male Fantasy were the true highlights of the record to me. While I enjoyed every single track in here I still think Overheated was a bit of a let down because even with its somewhat comforting atmosphere I stillIt feels great watching her getting older, being more confident and experiment a bit more with her music. Halley's comet, Billie Bossa Nova, Oxytocin, NDA, Happier Than Ever and Male Fantasy were the true highlights of the record to me. While I enjoyed every single track in here I still think Overheated was a bit of a let down because even with its somewhat comforting atmosphere I still found myself a bit annoyed by the production which was undercooked and uninspired for me. Nevertheless, her vocals and the instrumental saved the song in my view. The classic old glamour/jazzy style suits her very well btw. I'm really curious about what she's going to do next and really appreciate the fact that she didn't try to imitate the sound of her first album which was one of my favourite of 2019.… Expand

    Such a great follow up to her debut record, there is so much growth, all the songs sound are so different but so similar in the same way. My favorite tracks at the moment are honestly all of them but if I had to pick I would say getting oler, happier than ever, and GOLDWING. all tracks are stunning! worth the two year wait :)

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Just when I thought Billie couldn't top what she's already achieved, she proved me wrong...AGAIN!!! Happier Than Ever is such a cohesive, intimate, personal, somewhere-sexy and everywhere-powerful body of work, and it showed the power of vulnerability which we had never imagined could hit us this hard.
    "Getting Older" serves as a perfect opening track and unveil the adventure we'll embark on, and from the lyrics, you can surely see what kind of a woman Billie has grown into and what kind of obstacles she has encountered during the journey: "Things I once enjoyed, just keep me employed now", ouch, that hurts. Then you can witness her sassiness in tracks like "I Didn't Change My Number", "NDA" and "Therefore I Am" while hear her broken heart in songs like "Halley's Comet", "Everybody Dies" and "Your Power", moreover, her overflowing sexiness sparkled through songs like "Billie Bossa Nova" and erupts in the hardcore tracks like "Oxytocin". in the mid of the album, she present us with an interlude that address her opinions on the public views, which can be perfectly sum up in that title: "Not My Responsibility". Finally, all the bitterness she's been through from her toxic relationship, all the twisted comments everybody threw at her, all the confusing stuff fame had caused her made her blow up in the title track "Happier Than Ever", every screams at the end is her way to release all the negativity she's gained through the way, "just f**king leave me alone!" is her genuine thought to all the sh*t that targeted at her. Then when all the hysteria (in a good way) ends, the whole album melted in a cup of tea called "Male Fantasy", "If I'm getting over you, or just pretending to, be alright, convince myself I hate you", oh honey, we've all been there.
    So here we are, with THE Album of the year: Happier Than Ever, thank u Ms. Billie, for such a therapeutic experience, and for bravely and unapologeticly sharing your story.    … Expand

    Seu melhor álbum até o momento. Até melhor que o grammyado "WWFAWDWG". Os vocais, as composições e a produção estão mais maduras que antes. Billie e Finneas estão em seu melhor momento.

    A stronger experience perhaps still waits to be found within "Happier Than Ever" by excising a handful of lesser songs and dialing back its insistence on its own cloying precociousness, but Eilish's muted, whisper-thin vocals nevertheless prove a good match for the low-key, jazzy production and make for an overall pleasant listen, albeit one that's far more forgettable than it ought to be.

    Happier Than Ever is a huge step into the new era of her career as she experiments with different tones and chords. Her lyrics have a heavy weight to them such as feeling like a burden in life and in a relationship. She demostrates this in relatable ways and it just feels like such a perfect ode to her past. FINNEAS knocks it out the park also

    When I first listened to this record, I didn't really enjoy it as a whole as I did her previous records. But I took a few listens and I became obsessed with her. She shows true talent and the production is incredible. It takes a while to see the glistening beauty of Happier Than Ever. GOLDWING and I Didn't Change My Number are both so innovative and I'd love to hear this more in her music.When I first listened to this record, I didn't really enjoy it as a whole as I did her previous records. This thing is simply an electropop masterpiece. The first three tracks are very strong. As much as I wish I could talk about all of them, it would take too much time. "Oxytocin" and "Goldwing" are aAOTY so far for me, easily. In a year in which many of my favorite artists have disappointed, Billie Eilish surprised me by going well above and beyond her already great debut album from 2019. This thing is simply an electropop masterpiece. The first three tracks are very strong. As much as I wish I could talk about all of them, it would take too much time. "Oxytocin" and "Goldwing" are a badass back-to-back combo. "Lost Cause", like many of the songs that come before and after it, is simply superb in the writing department. Finneas absolutely killed it on producing all of these tracks as well, "Overheated" being another highlight. The album's best run, however, doesn't even come until towards the end. "NDA", "Therefore I Am", and the title track are just sooooo flawless. I don't dislike the closing track "Male Fantasy" either, I've seen it get more hate than it deserves. Kudos to both Billie and Finneas for knocking this one out of the park. As soon as I listened to this album for the first time I went straight to Target to pick up the vinyl. Very very close to being a 10/10 for me.… Expand

    A worthy follow up to Billie's first album. As a whole her first album is tighter and more lean. We got hit after hit. With this record we see Billie growing into a young woman. This a lighter and more mature album and although its not as great as her first album its still a damn good one. Aside from a few tracks billie has created another album that defines her generation.     Billie let out her pain in the most beautiful way. The mature Billie. She’s sharing a vulnerable truth about everything she had been through as a kid and her way to get out of toxic kinds of stuff. How strong she is.

They didn’t sound the same, but they still worked good together. So I was never bored while listening to the album. My ranking of the songs: (The ones in top 5 are basically all 1. to me. Billie is a poet who make us cry with her songs. I'm not a big fan of Billie but this album is good, that's all.

    Absolutamente fascinante la manera en que Billie nos cuenta una historia de su crecimiento y empoderamiento. Uno de sus mejores discos y me atrevería a decir que sin duda es uno de los mejores discos de este año.

I definitely think that the good tracks hit it out of the park while the worse tracks make me question why they’re there.

    Billie's sophomore album is her strongest body of work, in my opinion. I don't think the singles she dropped leading up to the release fully revealed that, but after several listens to it all the way through I'm pretty confident in my assessment. She definitely has shown growth musically and it shows in her very different tracks throughout... Wish people gave it more of a chance.

    Happier Than Ever is a "very good" album despite all the drama she went through before releasing the album — Billie sticks to her music style which is good but somehow I am expecting a new experiment on her music since it's her sophomore album. 6 out of 16 tracks are good. And the rest is well bland and repetitive.
    Tracks: 3, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16 > Tracks in the album that I like.

    first of all, lets put all of the things going on with Billie aside and just listen to the music. This album was so amazing and had that awesome Billie touch to all of the songs. Happier than Ever was such a masterpiece of a song especially the second half of it.

Not only she used different sounds and beats but she also showed a certain “different” light and mood in this album. Since she was a child, she had to hear what people said about her body, her clothes and personality, which were mainly negative comments, that brought her to a “depressive” state of mind. Happier Than Ever shows her much confident and comfortable with herself both on the outside like on the inside. An amazing piece of work by one of my favorite artists.… Expand

    The track Happier Than Ever could give this album a ten alone. Some gems in there but damn that song is her best work to date. Oxytocin is also a highlight.

    All these songs, although they are different, form one, common, wonderful whole. we also heard billie in a completely different style, I mean happier than ever. definitely her best project so far.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The album starts with a great low piano feel showing the beauty of Billie's voice that swiftly transforms into a catchy synth beat.
    The 2nd track really feels much better, the layers are so well produced and they compliment each other as well as the vocals so well and the track ends with a nice rough-'er' feel to it- giving a great impulse to the listener towards the next track.
    The guitar on the 3rd track reminds me of The Strokes fsr (that purity and simplicity yet beauty of the melody), the chorus on this track has a wonderful feel to it as well (great fading high notes- also Finneas is playing really well with the echo of Billie's voice, bringing out the rawness and beauty of it).
    4th track shows how great is the combination between Billie's vocals and Finneas's creative ideas. It contains a beautiful tempo change and guitar riffle to keep it flowing so nicely along Billie's vocals... wonderful work producing this track.
    Feels like the beat for the 5th track is a bit too rough considering the way this LP was going, this track feels completely different compared to the previous tracks on this LP (almost like a track from WWAFAWDWG... but not really- still has a twist to it that keeps it close to this LP). Overall a nice drop of roughness to the easy feel of the album.
    Track 6 keeps up the idea of the crazy sounds layered one over the other that Billie is known for... nothing too impressive or different to comment on here...
    Track 7 however brings back to life that new feel she presents to us in this LP (the guitar came back and the vocals are much better- which ultimately creates a nice beat and catchy melody)
    Track 8 keeps the piano silent and far away from the listener and the voice closer to us. Sounds like a classic ballad with a nice change at the end from an ending in a major chord going flat and fading away into another part of the song that's a bit rougher but still nice.
    Track 9 opens a part of the album where Billie starts reflecting on the criticism she got from her haters and from her fans, she's much more personal and direct than in her debut album. The ending of this song brings a great " bridge" towards the next track and it surprisingly somehow still holds the structure of the album.
    Track 10 holds the same background as the previous song but better produced and more strict. Yet again feels like a track from her debut album but has a good connection to this LP.
    Track 11 really feels like Billie comes back to the realism of this LP and goes back into a more dreamy feel (and i'm not a big fan of it).
    There is just too much echo on her voice in track 12 (it would've been much better if her voice was less echo-'e' which would've made it much more personal and nice in the structure of the album- keeping the listener more focused yet so calm). This track wins it with the power of the lyrics.
    Track 13 and 14 show a great fusion between a dreamy and far away state of the old Billie and a more real and close up version of Billie that she is presenting in this album... a great bridge towards a new feel to her music.
    Track 15 was really predictable till that guitar hit... how unfortunate that it was way too rough but what a great change from the Billie we knew to what we're hearing right now.
    The last track on this LP really shows how much more real Billie's lyrics and voice became, they're not that dreamy and fading away so much anymore. And i am sure saying this... Billie ended on a positive note and on a really nice irony or hypocrisy and maybe a message about how unsure she is about her thoughts? (during the whole album, Billie says that she hates the person she sings about but the last words on this LP are “I know I should but I could never hate you”)

    Overall i had a great listen of this LP and i felt like Billie is really trying to get more direct and strict and real with her ideas and thoughts and this album is a good product of that. The producing is wonderful with some faults or irregularities here and there but nothing that kept me off of any track on this album.

    I have to admit, amidst all the controversy round Billie these days and the singles she released as promotion, I wasn't at all excited for this album. But after one listen, oh my god, this album is good. The way she explores herself and her sound in songs like Happier Than Ever, Oxcytocin and Goldwing, is truly mesmerizing. Love this album and rediscovered Billie as an artist because ofI have to admit, amidst all the controversy round Billie these days and the singles she released as promotion, I wasn't at all excited for this album.     This is the best album of all times i ever listen, Although we thought WWAFAWDWG would be impossible to top, Billie Eilish has done it again. The album makes sense when put together proves her creative ability, vocal ability, versatility, and Finneas' incredible ability to produce hit song after hit song.

    This album makes me feel things in ways that WWAFA, WDWG didn't, and even then I didnt understand what I was feeling. It's an amazing experience listening to it every time I do. The lyricism is exquisite and Billie Eilish has some of the best produced music in modern day pop. Brava on such a complete and brilliant piece of work!

This maturity is clear by listening how well Eilish travels through genres, like bossa nova, trap, folk, country, and still maintains her soft essence and her message.     i really love the fact that every song in this album has a different music genre. Billie's acumen in making each song a different style is undeniable. the lyrics, the melody, the production, everything is perfect, nothing to complain about. one of the best albums of 2021 if not the best. is already AOTY for me! :)

    “Your Power” is the slowest-and-lowest moment on “Happier Than Ever,” but as a whole the album is softer, quieter, more languid than Eilish’s trap-inflected debut. ... The dreamy-jazzy mode suits her singing, which has never sounded better than it does throughout “Happier Than Ever.”

    Billie Eilish’s second album expands upon everything that worked the last time and pushes it in new directions, a creative muse restless and bold in its ambition. It may not always land, but this is a terrific release that proves Eilish’s staying power, demonstrating she’s more than up to the task of delivering on the promise of her debut.
