This albumb also sounds like nothing I've ever heard before, it was like Tyler the Creator, Avril Lavigne and Patsy Cline had a weird but good baby. I love everything about it. Expand

Expand

Billie and FINNEAS are proven to be more than a one-trick pony by showing great versatility in their art. They are able to expand their dark, nightmarish sound that was heard in Billie's debut album in a way that separates the two works from each other

I hope Billie and Finneas are proud of the work they have put in this masterpiece. It is clearly a huge pressure to follow the brilliance that was When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and clearly did just that. I love the album through and through and Happier Than Ever is arguably Billie's best song to date. I hope this album and the song sweep next year's Grammys because they deserve it.

It is truly a very, very well composed and produced album. It is very versatile but cohesive at the same time. Each song is lyrically, musically and vocally a masterpiece, and when it is all put together as an album it becomes even better. I believe this is one of the best albums to ever be put out.

Great evolution, you can see the change and maturity in its lyrics, songs like happier than ever make you feel many emotions, in addition to the change of sounds that it handles between some songs is incredible

    Great experimental album from her
New sounds for her but "i didn't change my number, overheated, goldwing, happier than ever sound and my future" are sounds that I've heard before, from about 2018 until the release.
It's very "cute cut pro editing community" inspired if you ask me lol
I feel the personal messages she transmitted through the lyrics
    Love this album so much

Es la calificación mayor que le puedo dar, ya que solo hay una canción que me gusta de todo su álbum, es igual que su álbum anterior solo que en otro color y cantando más fuerte en algunas Canciones

This album represents a change for the duo Billie and Finneas. The opening track, Getting Older, symbolizes this metamorphosis, with lyrics where Billie reflects on her career and her personal life. Here, she clarifies that the focus of this album will not be metaphors, like the ones from her debut, but the struggles of her personal life. However, the highlight of the album goes to FINNEAS, which shows why he's considered one of the greatest producers of his generation, on tracks such as I Didn't Change My Number and Oxytocin, in addition to the fantastic and mesmerizing chord progression in the opening track, Getting Older.
In Halley's Comet, Billie shows how inexperienced and vulnerable to love she truly is, in a heartbreaking ballad about making music and a long-distance relationship. "I'm sitting in my brother's room, haven't slept in a week or two, I think I might have fallen in love, what am I to do?". In my future, the best song of the album, she talks about self-love in a melody that mixes bossa, jazz and her traditional anti-pop: which is another brilliant decision: to gather a long range of genres to this project, which shows just how much the duo could really make anything they wanted to: like brazilian Bossa Nova and even Rock music.
The album's weaknesses are the singles, uninteresting tracks that recycle the formula of its first album or are simply tiresome and out of place in the narrative that the album tries to build, as with Lost Cause. After a somewhat disastrous sequel that culminates in the great 'Therefore I Am' and the title track, Billie ends the album with the bland ballad Male Fantasy, which seems to ignore the massive shift as an artist that occurs midway through the title-track Happier Than Ever: where she screams her voice out with powerful and distorted guitars.

Favorite tracks: my future, Billie Bossa Nova, Getting Older, Oxytocin, Happier Than Ever, Halley's Comet

Worst tracks: Lost Cause, Everybody Dies, OverHeated

Happier than ever is an album that counts with great lyrics, production and overall mood and tone. All the songs are capable of expressing different and foreign emotions while making you feel part of them. Billie and Finneas tried to make an album where all the songs are different but are able to sound cohesive together. The production on every song is incredible and I would recommend thisHappier than ever is an album that counts with great lyrics, production and overall mood and tone. So, whilst it may not boast songs that stick with you for months in the way that Eilish’s first does, Happier Than Ever feels like a project that will age more gracefully and, in years to come, it may even come to eclipse that which came before it.
  2. 80
“Your Power” is the slowest-and-lowest moment on “Happier Than Ever,” but as a whole the album is softer, quieter, more languid than Eilish’s trap-inflected debut. ... The dreamy-jazzy mode suits her singing, which has never sounded better than it does throughout “Happier Than Ever.”

Billie Eilish’s second album expands upon everything that worked the last time and pushes it in new directions, a creative muse restless and bold in its ambition. It may not always land, but this is a terrific release that proves Eilish’s staying power, demonstrating she’s more than up to the task of delivering on the promise of her debut.
