Personally, her music has always felt too honest for me, but this album reached a whole new level of honesty and lyrically is so fluid. On her debut album she took the anxiousness of being a teenager... the feeling of everyone being against you (including yourself), the nightmares, fears and also the good, but on Happier Than Ever she just takes the opportunity to open her heart thoroughly feeling more confident and more emotionally aware (Emotional intelligence is hard to get after all).
I love that she kept her origins musically (like you can still feel WWAFAWDWG's influence) but it is also palpable that both Finneas and her grew up and have an amazing mastermind regarding music.

Happier Than Ever is a total growth from her debut studio album, it sounds more professional and less stressed; she talked about her life and quarantine gave her the possibility of explore herself and gave the album a more personal songwriting and an impressional vocal growth.
The songwriting is personal, never gets bored and shows that Billie has been more involved in the writing since her debut.
The production, always curated by the magnificent Finneas is flawless, again, he doesn't disapponts none, the production are treated as they have to, never more and never less (oxytocin is one of the sickest beats i ever heard).
Generally Happier Than Ever is a growth for everyone, Billie, Finneas, her fans and to the industry, whoever calls this album a "flop" clearly never saw an artist flopping.

I'm honestly surprised. After her first and super-successful 'debut' album she was able to recreate her artistic voice. Listening to this album was a joyful and also a thoughtful journey. Thank you!

Incredible diversity in her music that we aren’t used to as Billie listeners. She pushed the norm of her own music and managed to make an album that looks happy from the outside but as you dig into the album and look on the inside, she is still Billie and she still hurts from past toxic relationships. Absolutely stunning.

Es una obra de arte de principio a fin, se nota la evolución musical de billie y como ha ido evolucionando desde su Ep donde apenas tenia 16 años

Amazing to see someone experiment and try new things. This feels very much like Billie while also feeling very new and evolved. I don't think it should be a requirement for every pop song to be relatable so I found Billie's musings on fame to be incredibly interesting even though I'll never relate to them. Her musical honesty has always been her most endearing trait for me.

Masterfully, immaculately, and delicately produced, Eilish apps into intensely personal story telling about heartbreak, the anxiety of fame, adulthood, and more. Each song adds to the concept, listenability, and tone of the entire record. This is her greatest work up to this point. The winning streak for Billie Eilish continues.

NMR good words but most people skip. nice goldwing at the end. average is good at the end, making listeners who are just starting to listen to the album bored. the rest is good. if you can from start to finish all good. good job billie and finneas.

So, whilst it may not boast songs that stick with you for months in the way that Eilish’s first does, Happier Than Ever feels like a project that will age more gracefully and, in years to come, it may even come to eclipse that which came before it.

“Your Power” is the slowest-and-lowest moment on “Happier Than Ever,” but as a whole the album is softer, quieter, more languid than Eilish’s trap-inflected debut. ... The dreamy-jazzy mode suits her singing, which has never sounded better than it does throughout “Happier Than Ever.”

Billie Eilish’s second album expands upon everything that worked the last time and pushes it in new directions, a creative muse restless and bold in its ambition. It may not always land, but this is a terrific release that proves Eilish’s staying power, demonstrating she’s more than up to the task of delivering on the promise of her debut.
