This album is nothing short of amazing. It is a giant leap forward for the Generationals in a stylistic manor. Just something about this album just hit me in a good spot and I just fell in love with it, especially the songs closing (Durga II), which is one of the best Generationals songs that they have put out. I ran across the newest offering from Generationals in a rather circuitous manner, not having heard any of their previous releases. (I found this album while browsing the label's website after purchasing another album.) Having not heard their previous work, I had the luxury of having no preconceptions and no expectations as to the stylistic content.

My review is simple, and will avoid needless analogy. If you like listening to tracks that don't necessarily remind you of any other artist or song (maybe not even any other of their own work) then the combination of stylistic approaches on this album will likely appeal.
You will find connection with some poignant lyrics, and be intrigued by interesting backgrounds if you listen intently, and be soothed and unhindered if you need background music during those "lonely" solo times at work, filing, sorting, cleaning, planning. Even my 13 year old is a fan.

Playing to previous strengths, the band's third LP shuffles the decks, throwing six-string spiderwebs into spacey, bass-textured atmospheres. [No. 98, p.55]

Blissfully addictive and dangerously catchy, Heza is most certainly one for the more bright and breezy of us this summer.

With this collection of simple, endlessly enjoyable indie pop, Heza and Generationals make the statement against giving up and remaining stagnant.
