Sep 24, 2019This is just the best album I heard this year by a male artist. Coming for a new artist it's quite impressive!
-
Sep 16, 2019It's an amazing album full of great songs. Sam's future will be brilliant. Great job man.
-
Sep 13, 2019Fantastic album from Sam Fender, he deserves all the success coming his way
-
Sep 14, 2019How Sam Fender can be so overrated nowadays as well as Lewis Capaldi?
This album is a masterpiece ✨ -
Sep 14, 2019A perfect antidote to the awful tripe from the likes of Lewis Capaldi. Along with Gerry Cinnamon, Sam Fender could be the saviour of modern music. Clean, crisp and melodic with hints of Springsteen and War on drugs with lyrics that resonate and bite with meaning and purpose.

Feb 7, 2020A good album overall. It has some great singles such as the title track, Play God and That Sound, but the deep cuts are weaker. You're Not The Only One sounds like a copy-paste of The Borders (which is a decent song) and I can't stand the message of White Privilege. Also the amount of ballads feel excessive, but for a solo debut, it's a good listen

Dec 16, 2019one of my favourite albums of the year has a lot of potential and some absolutely amazing lyrics

Mar 5, 2020Hypersonic Missiles is a solid debut album from Sam Fender. With a mix of modern rock & more radio friendly sounds, the Georgie rocker utilises his strong vocals as well as his excellent songwriting ability to produce an all round good experience. Stand out tracks include the title track Hypersonic Missiles, the meaningful Dead Boys, and also Will We Talk.

Nov 25, 2020Hypersonic missile is perfect blend of musical genius and poetry like lyrics. A great way to make a entrance to music industry
-
Aug 21, 2022Sam Fender's debut album shows that he has a strong start in his career in music. This album is calming; and although some songs don't fit well, there are lots of great songs in this album.
Awards & Rankings
-
Oct 4, 2019Galvanizing at heart, Fender's bow burns with sharp conviction and intimacy.
-
Sep 13, 2019Mostly, though, this is everything a debut should be: fascinating, confused and a little bit terrified.
-
Sep 13, 2019Hypersonic Missiles on its own is unsatisfying, and the overconfident presentation risks stifling his voice before he’s found it.
