I haven't listened to the other City and Colour albums but I would say that on its own merits this is definitely worth a listen if you have not heard this group before. Refreshing in its simplicity but throughout we have well written and constructed songs. The first track "Woman" is immense and the rest of the album flows nicely. It may all be a little too polished and tasteful for some palates, but for others this is 15 togs of pure aural comfort to wrap yourself in.

The album's languid pace and lack of real bite often renders it a little pedestrian. [Dec 2015, p.69]

This is music to get lost in. [Dec 2015, p.106]
