I was underwhelmed by In Colour. It sounds like a mixture between Washed Out and Tycho. I had high expectations prior to listening, but I simply was not that interested after several listens.

Great album! I love the texture he creates with his sound. The guest features by XX members are great. The album flows really well and the song genres are varied. I also loved his use of samples. Young Thug's appearance is also great. I recommend this album.

A modern pop echo chamber, In Colour pushes the pleasure principle with ease, intelligence, grace, and a myriad of reflections that become one spectrum. RIYL: anything.

While the tale and methods of In Colour are well-worn, Jamie XX, like Burial and Four Tet before him, proves himself a master storyteller.

As it moves from reflective to engaging and back again, In Colour covers the entire spectrum of Jamie xx's music, delivering flashes of brilliance along the way.
