    Without a doubt my choice for album of the year (along with RJD2) thus far. Les Savy Fav is stand up and applaud good, and this album should be on everybody's shopping list.

    The Fav are/were the best rock band on the planet, and Inches is a choice sampler. You'll hear this comment over and over but after seeing them live (if they ever tour again *fingers crossed*) lay this baby down on your headphones and you will just shiver remembering one of the most engaging concerts you ever saw.

    This album is perfect. I'm sick of reviews like "Under the Radar" who contantly compare LSF to Fugazi even when they've really began to come into their own. Their first two albums definitely have heavy Fugazi influence and even though the early singles can trace that, the newer/latest songs have definitely given LSF their own distinct, groovy sound. You can't dance to Fugazi songs like you can to LSF. Can we stop the Fugazi comparisons and just enjoy this phenomenal album?     The conceit and accomplishment of this album is almost incomprehensible. These guys decided, in advance, to make an album consisting of nine singles, a & b sides, all released on vinyl, and by nine different labels, all over a period of eight years. Well, this is the album, and we can all see what we've been missing for several years. Well, this is the album, and we can all see what we've been missing for several years. Anybody who loves the original punk invasion or the formation of true new wave (1976-1979) will recognize this Brooklyn band as kindred spirits. They crank out generous slabs of the most new-wavy punk which could ever be imagined, but they're all new originals. They do include many different varieties of the genre, including oddball gems such as "Reformat Dramatic Reading" which, to my knowledge, is completely unique, and damned hilarious to boot. The 18 songs on this will have any true rock-and-roller going crazy. I'd mention all the highpoints, but then I'd basically have to mention everything. When will radio allow the public to hear what the hell is really the shit?… Expand

    This is my first exposure to the band and it's one of the few albums that has stayed in constant rotation in my CD player. The bonus DVD was a nice addition. The songs are each independant animals but work so well together. Powerful, slippery, deceptively intelligent and fragile.
