Gaga's return to the commercial market proves to be her most provocative body of work yet! Primarily manifested through diverse sense of fashion, Gaga has finally placed more of an emphasis on creating a diverse collection of songs as opposed to aesthetic.

This new musical direction seems to be a culmination of everything Gaga has done throughout the years, while keeping a cool, folk rock sound consistent throughout the album. The production value and writing on this album is probably her best yet. Mark Ronson and team worked very well with her.

Hoping people give this album a chance! It really is so amazing.

This is an amazing album where GaGa proves an other time she is a versatile artist. First the jazz adventure with Tony Bennett and now Joanne where she experiments with country and folk influences. The album features some amazing heartfelt moments like Angel Down and title track Joanne, as-well fun tracks like Dancin' In Circles and A-Yo.

This is simply, her best album yet. Lady Gaga is better then ever, and together with her her music. "Artpop" was overwhelmed and too complicated. On the other hand, "Joanne," is clean, beautiful and simply amazing. Fantastic guitar sounds and the angelic bass. Wow, worth the wait those three years. This album became my favorite :D

The shock artist's new tactic these days seems to be releasing shockingly great music. Joanne features a stellar and seamless dovetail of raw vocals, diverse genres, as well as exceptionally solid songwriting; tracks like "John Wayne" and "Angel Down" shine through an extremely competitive array of musical stompers and heartfelt ballads.

A letra, algumas vezes, soa contraditória.

A minha segunda favorita do álbum, "Dancin' In Circles". É uma "So Hapy I Could Die" mais animada, menos inocente, mais adulta, menos 'autotunada'.

Mas a Gaga já fez isso antes em "The Fame/The Fame Monster", "Born This Way" e "ARTPOP".

Assim como "Sinne'rs Prayer", "Come To Mama" não me agradou, talvez, a letra.

    Bem vindo, "Joanne"!

It might be hard to believe that 8 years after her debut Lady Gaga is still capable of shocking the world. Joanne might be Germanotta's most cohesive and honest record to date and, without a doubt, this album showcases the greatness of the American songwriter and singer's vocals. One of the most cohesive albums of the decade.

This album is wonderful, from start to finish. Gaga bares her soul in every memorable melody, with a strong and emotional voice. The production is impeccable due to the legendary producers who worked with her. The lyrics are simple, but deeply beautiful. And the result is sensational. Lady Gaga shows off her vocal abilities with excellence and controls her emotions with precision. This is important in an album that is emotionally charged. "Joanne" is an album full of personal stories, stories about her father, her father's late sister Joanne (for whom the album was named), her sister, and her close friend Sonja who is suffering from cancer. Lady Gaga's lyrics also cover her breakup with actor Taylor Kinney, but this is far from being a breakup album. It is actually very uplifting despite the negative nature of some of Lady Gaga's experience.
All of the album's tracks were produced by Mark Ronson, Bloodpop, and Lady Gaga herself. The music is definitely rooted in classic sounds of American music. In particular, the country genre seems to have influenced songs like "Million Reasons," a stunning ballad about finding "one good [reason] to stay" in a relationship that's at least a little rocky, and "Sinner's Prayer," a song about women who try hard in love only to be let down. Bloodpop's production definitely kept the songs from sounding dated though. "Dancin' in Circles" is an example of more modern production with that dancehall sound that's been popular as of late, but Lady Gaga has a way of owning the sound and making it one that only she could have made. Beck also had a hand in its writing and production.
This album is one that benefits from having a deluxe edition available. It includes three bonus tracks, one of which is a song titled "Just Another Day." This is a song you will want to hear if you were a fan of Lady Gaga before she was famous or if you just became a fan of her because she sang jazz music with the legendary Tony Bennett on "Cheek to Cheek." This is not the Lady Gaga with whom many of her fans fell in love with because of her earlier hit records. This is a new version of her who's more personal and who's unafraid of exploring sounds that she did not explore with her previous albums. No matter what type of music you typically listen to, give it a chance. "Joanne" shows artistic growth and great talent.

'Joanne' 'is a mixture of very classic pop songs, with no clear identity. Very often, while listening to it, you could get the impression that some songs come from the repertoire of other mainstream universe starlets ('' Dancing In Circles '' sounds like a Gwen Stefani b-side, '' A-YO '' from Aguilera or Megan Trainor '' for example).

'' Diamond Heart '' has a pretty good pace, '' Joanne '' (the best song in my opinion) has a lovely refrain, '' Million Reasons '' is a beautiful ballad, '' Sinner's Prayer '' is very pleasant although not very original, and there's also a surprising duet with Welch. '' Angel Down '' is a good piece, although it clearly recalls the atmosphere of Del Rey ''Video Games ''.

Joanne starts with Diamond Heart exploring her past as a college drop out, GoGo dancer in NY and her path along the heart break and sexual assault of men during her years from 18-20 before her major break from Just Dance and such. Then we get this total BOP of a song AYO were she and her friends are smoking the haters and doing themselves. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Nós todos do Brasil amamos. With 'Joanne', Lady Gaga explores a new world, a more sofisticate world than the world of 'Born This Way' or 'Artpop'. 'Joanne' is a grower, as all her other albums. I think it is one of the most powerful and soulful LP of the year. Anyway I don't want to give the maximum ammount of points, but 'Joanne' is a very good album. It's going to be on repeat for a lot of time.

Joanne still represents a striking course correction for Lady Gaga. By abandoning the dance club for the dive bar, she may have tossed aside her status as a pop star once and for all. But Gaga has emerged as something better and truer.

Not her best work, but a step up from Artpop (which I still enjoyed but was not floored by). There's a lot to love on Joanne, and this is perhaps Lady Gaga's most emotionally-resonant effort to date. I'd recommend "Diamond Heart," "AYO," "Joanne," "Million Reasons," "Sinner's Prayer," and--if you're going for the deluxe edition--"Just Another Day."

Gaga deconstructs the taboos was created to the public by herself, the breaking expectations and is presented as it is: a human being. All of this is encompassed in the name 'Joanne', his middle name and the name of his late aunt. Taking perfect illusion which was perhaps a mistake to be on this album (despite being very good), the whole album sounds like a perfect mix, but not a mixture of Artpop, his latest album, a mix of meaning, traveling without disperse. "Perfect illusion" - an unfortunate choice of lead single. The song is good, but no more. Compared with other songs in an album, it is rather weak. The meaning is quite simple - we had a love Gaga, and she was blind. 9/10

"Hey Girl" - it's just something unreal. Gaga duet with Florence. Easy song, his mesmerizing music and lyrics. Suffice it tightly ingrained in memory. 10/10

"Diamond Heart" - a reflection of a great many people in our time. This story Stephanie, who has found love, but also managed to lose it. 10/10

Unfortunately, therein lies the biggest problem with Joanne: for every time that Gaga seemingly breaks free of her shackles and embraces something more “real,” she quickly scuttles back into her comfort zone and hides behind glistening production. This probably isn’t quite the sound of the real Stefani Germanotta, but if you squint hard enough there’s a semblance of a real person in amongst the pop haze.
