Joanne is undeniably her weakest and most boring album to date, with songs that were demos taken from Taylor Swift's Red Album and turned into weak, inconsistent country pop songs that don't match with Lady Gaga's daring image.     Honestly this album deserved a lot better than It recieved , When i was going through hard times in my life i listened to Million reasons a lot and it soothed and calmed me down , i wish i could look her in the eyes and tell her how much it meant to me. I do think about this album a lot , it's so cohesive and beautiful and i find myself enjoying the evolution of her art and all the cornersHonestly this album deserved a lot better than It recieved , When i was going through hard times in my life i listened to Million reasons a lot and it soothed and calmed me down , i wish i could look her in the eyes and tell her how much it meant to me.     Albumde guzel olmayan parca neredeyse yok. Gaga'nin butun ic hesaplasmalarini kagida doktugu ve adeta kendisinin 2010'larin basindaki enerjik rockstar personasini yok edip olgun bir temayla izleyicilerin karsisina ciktigi album. Yeri ayridir.     I love the first half of the album, but she loses me after “Million Reasons”. All the songs after that aren’t that great in my opinion. I will also say that I like this album better than Artpop (although it’s a completely different sound).

    It’s understandable that «Joanne» finds Gaga performing authenticity, if only because it’s the strongest way to convey artistic evolution to the masses. While its modernity is expressed by mixing and matching genres or adding digital zing to familiar tropes, for all its bravura exuberance and pop slickness it is old fashioned to its core.

    Miss Gaga did a very different album than what we are used to. Joanne, it's a good change for her career it's nice and songs like "Million Reasons" & "Joanne" are powerful. For me isn't her best album but it's really good. Thanks Gaga.

    Este álbum no me convenció, tiene canciones muy buenas pero también hay otras que rompen el concepto. Son divertidas de escuchar pero no quita que la mayoría le falta sentimiento que Gaga siempre le ponía a sus canciones.

    I don't understand that pick of Perfect Illusion to be it's lead single. I think it's album's weakest song, but okay, it charted quite okay.
    Gaga proves she can sing jazz, she can sing opera and now she shows us her story with soft rock/country music and it's amazing.
    So many songs deserve to be singles. Dancing in Circles, John Wayne, Diamond Heart, A-Yo - these rocky/poppy songs are albums best.
    Ballads such as Joanne, Million Reasons,Sinner's Pray, Hey Girl and Angel Down hit me for the first listening.
    It's shame people didnt even heard these songs a totally forgot the album.
    Surely it's not her best seller, did't have a chart topper but it has a place in people's hearts.    … Expand

    When Gaga first announced the concept for this record I was kinda disappointed. However, she proved me wrong and surprised me with how versatile her talent is, Joanne is a different from her previous albums but still managed to keep me hooked during every song, some stand out tracks in my opinion are Million Reasons, Come to Mama and Diamond Heart.

It's not just about romance and    Now, I know a lot of people disliked "Joanne" because of its departure from the dance & pop feel. But, if you really look at it, it's secretly Gaga's best album yet. She somehow managed to take a break from the pop persona and make this whole album really great.

    The best thing about her fifth LP is that it has that raw feeling; a feeling of real-ness. It's not just about romance and fame any more; it's true to the heart. "Joanne" is a truly inspiring album to those who decide to listen. Nothing on this album is repetitive nor cheesy. It's just Lady Gaga writing motivational music about healing, dedicated to her father & her late aunt, Joanne Stefani Germanotta.

    I recommend watching "Gaga: Five Foot Two", which is available on Netflix, as a companion to listening to "Joanne".

Reinvención que sería tomada en serio, si no se sintiera tanJoanne es el tratado de reinvención de Lady Gaga, aferrándose a un género alternativo-rock-country-pop, para tomar un paso al costado, optando por un camino artístico y desligarse por un instante de las producciones hechas para charts efímeros, para así redimirse luego del trabajo a medias y decepcionante que fue Artpop. Reinvención que sería tomada en serio, si no se sintiera tan presionado.

    Con la mayoría de las canciones compuestas por la misma Gaga con ayuda del aclamado productor Mark Ronson y Beck, el álbum abre con Diamond Heart, una pieza con temática introspectiva que Gaga ya había abarcado anteriormente. A decir verdad, un álbum entero de aceptación, autoestima, amarse con todo e imperfecciones. Born This Way. Recuperamos algo de la excentricidad de Gaga con las extravagantes John Wayne y Dancin’ In Circles y la agresiva y voraz Perfect Illusion, nos hacen sentir a la Gaga estrafalaria y singular, sin miedo a reinventarse y sin necesidad de buscar aprobación. Una artista que trata tomar un rumbo musical distinto. No obstante, quedan en segundo plano con las otras piezas dentro de Joanne que no juegan en favor del álbum.

    Llegando a Joanne, la producción más personal del álbum nos deja entrever el sufrimiento de ser amado que tuvo que partir. Una producción desgarradora y liviana acompañada de una guitarra y la voz de Gaga en la mayoría de la pista. Como también, Million Reason, una composición sobre amor no correspondido. Algo empalagosa, pero Gaga nos transmite su dolor a fondo a lo largo del coro. Hey Girl con Florence Welch, una canción entretenida y psicodélica al estilo Tame Impala donde las dos logran divertirse y formar un dúo casi perfecto, es de los primeros puntos débiles del álbum ya que no concuerda dentro del orden del álbum. Y luce puesta ahí más por un capricho que por cohesión. Sinner’s Prayer es una composición que nos traslada al viejo oeste, se siente fuera de lugar al igual que Come To Mama, una canción sin gusto y plana que se siente The Beatles desde un inicio.

    La producción casi desnuda y rozando lo acústico, presentan a una Gaga más personal que antes; sin la necesidad de sintetizadores a tope o beats dubstep sobreproducidos. Y Joanne nos lo recuerda desde un inicio: esta soy yo, mírenme, he dejado el pop genérico y quiero ser una artista en serio. Sin embargo, es débil en cuanto concepto. La mayoría de las composiciones, que si bien son brillantes por separado y nos demuestran a una Gaga que se atreve a más mientras se toma un respiro, juntas son una confusión caótica que pierden la dirección ubicándose en un punto plano al finalizar el LP sin siquiera haber despegado.

    Slightly stripped back and a different sound for Gaga. An enjoyable listen. Standout tracks: John Wayne, Dancin' in Circles, Million Reasons and Perfect Illusion.

    The rest is a mixed bag with some good ideas - often in the Codas, much less in the mostly very repetitive refrains. And in the Pop Territory Gaga seems to like a kind of nerve cracking, theatrical yelling and yowling singing style.
    Better than ArtPop but still not a great Album. Even all the collaborators could not help Joanne Gaga. I    I only like "Million Reasons" and "Angel down".

Many expected an album full of danceable hymns, dark themes, perhaps everyone wanted to hear what Gaga could offer according to the musical style of this year, but it was not. Gaga gave us something much better.     Joanne nos muestra una Lady Gaga mucho más madura que en sus trabajos anteriores, con una intensidad vocal increíble y una mezcla estupenda de sonidos. Cada canción tiene un toque especial, distinto pero también sobresale que Lady Gaga aún esta viva, para crear su arte y música muy personal.

    Unfortunately, therein lies the biggest problem with Joanne: for every time that Gaga seemingly breaks free of her shackles and embraces something more “real,” she quickly scuttles back into her comfort zone and hides behind glistening production. This probably isn’t quite the sound of the real Stefani Germanotta, but if you squint hard enough there’s a semblance of a real person in amongst the pop haze.

    Joanne is certainly not the all-conquering opus it was intended to be and will prove divisive, but it remains a daring and exciting record, delivered from one of modern pop’s most unique and singular voices.
