Juno is bursting at the seams with pop idiosyncrasies, thirteen tracks of controlled chaos. ... It’s also a remarkably cohesive album.

Charistmatically stepping onto the scene with an unmistakable presence in an era of reclaiming confidence is not an easy feat but Remi Wolf has delivered a debut that is powered by a true liveliness to be fun and real.

Although this first effort can be seen as the bridge between some of her collaborators, such as the projects of Wallows and Dominic Fike, Wolf is in her own universe, creating a new style of artistry that will inspire many others for the years yet to come.

Accompanied with her scatter board samples and untold charm, ‘Juno’ is a resounding celebration of existence and Remi Wolf is the MC.

It’s easy to get lost in the groove of Wolf’s music; perhaps you can find yourself there, too, and see the world in new bold colors.

On her new full-length, Juno, she hones her scatterbrained Californian pop into an effervescent, hook-filled record that flirts with weighty emotions but often swerves for the safety of a joke.

One of the best albums of the year, bop after bop. She can do no wrong, it's just so good.

Remi always finds a way to let you in on the fun of her twisted and creative mind. Her sound is refreshing, and this album is a knock out of the park

Her eclectic sound has never been so polished and fleshed out. The album is nonstop bangers (though offers sections of reprieve like in Volkiano), which might seem exhausting but she cleverly fills the second half with some of her most emotional lyrics which build upon each other. My interest never waned from the album, absolutely transfixed to the unique sonic landscape of each track. There truly isn't a single thing I would change about the album. Expand

Listening to it front to back, it's laid out really well- a wild, high-energy, funky ride broken up by sexy, more down-tempo tracks that give the listener a chance to breathe amongst all the (beautiful) chaos.

My personal highlights are Quiet On Set, which is a bouncy tune that features Wolf rapping and singing over odd but catchy electronic beeps and sporadic drums, and Street You Live On, which is a low-energy song with a lo-fi synth running throughout, underneath vocals with dreamy distortions- the whole thing gives off a nostalgic vibe that's hard to place, but is a pleasure to listen to.

Not every song is perfect, I found Buttermilk's chorus slightly repetitive and Buzz Me In was a tad long for the musical ideas it presented in my opinion, but both songs are still enjoyable and the album as a whole is so unique and refreshing regardless. It knows when to be really wild and explosive and when to slow down the crazy train for a breather- all in all, It's a super fun and unforgettable experience!

A lot of soul, R&b and freak-funk vibes that keep this beast of a record always moving. It's catchy, it's also been mixed, mastered and created with perfection in mind. This album is colourful and damn right joyful.

However, I kinda wish Remi had a little bit more bite in her. Anthony Ketis has this insanely gorgeous vocal melody that instantly asks for your attention (in fact it's probably one of my favourite songs of the year), but this joyful, angsty and downright funky high just isn't quite reached anywhere else on the album instead opting out for bedroom pop/disco. Frankly, I found everything else just not quite as good in comparison.

this might not quite have been for me? Either way ill listen to whatever she puts out next. I'm excited to see what direction Remi decided to take this sound.
