    It's always great to see Maria McKee making music. Such an underrated singer songwriter.

    Es un buen álbum, me agradan los primeros tracks este álbum esta perfecto para las personas que necesitan un tiempo solos con la música, es agradable a los oídos, no es una gran joya maestra pero es bastante bueno ya que revoluciona sus vocales en cada pista que tiene no es una gran producción pero cómo ya lo dije es bastante agradable.

    It takes courage to make an album like La Vita Nuova, and it takes a rare talent to make it work, and this leaves no doubt Maria McKee has plenty of both.

    La Vita Nuova pulls together some pretty disparate genres of music and combines them in a very pleasing way. Chamber strings augment folk melodies. Torch songs are re-imagined as child ballads. Fortunately, McKee's voice manages to knit all these strands together, and the record stops well short of being a hot, sprawling mess.

    Her lyrics as well as her performance may strike some listeners as overly literary, but there is method in these mannerisms. That unwieldiness becomes one of the album’s most appealing traits.
