great instrumentals and great lyrics but the album is instantly forgettable. At the end of the album i couldn't name a single lyric or hum the tune the any song. If you want a good rap hour than i would recommend but if you want a album you could have stuck in your head all day, i wouldn't recommend this.

  1. He does his best job yet at balancing smarts and accessibility.
  2. The backing tracks, brimming over with strings, guitars, vaguely Middle Eastern elements, and soundtrack snippets, are more musical than much hip-hop, proffering the perfect gateway to Aesop Rock's verbose world. Dig the dark sounds as you try to decipher the deep thoughts.
  3. It helps that Labor Days is as terrific a record as anyone could ask for, really, and you should buy it.
