A melodic album with a hint of monotony. Good vocals, a few superb singles, overly advertised - classic Ms. Swift. Just fine overall.

It's one of the best albums I have ever heard almost all of the songs are really good - Masterpiece as another word to describe it - it's so romantic and well made Taylor Swift did an amazing job at this album .

It definitely is her best album. Maybe some songs are sonically not stuck in my head but it definitely serves its purposes of being in the daylight and feeling the sense of being personal with an artist. Its like were reading in her diary.

Probably Taylor's best album to date, is inventive and experiments with different genres of music. We have a little jazz going on on the extremely sexual False God and a Avril Lavigne 06' pop-punk with Paper Rings and Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince.

Taylor isn't afraid of telling the world how she feels about Joe Alwyn and to show every process of their relationship. The cruel start, the errors and the rights, the moments of anxiety and the moments of clarity. As true love, it's not always great but it's Golden.
A love letter for love is indeed the best description someone could put to this album.

Like all Taylor’s albums I’ve listened to in full, Lover is a very mixed bag. However, I think the positives outweigh the negatives. While she isn’t the best vocalist, she manages to keep her singing interesting with emotive inflections of her voice, especially on I Forgot That You Existed. I Think He Knows delivers CRJ-esque pop surprisingly just about as good as Carly delivers. The title track is undeniably beautiful. Soon You’ll Get Better is beautifully written to her mom battling cancer. Paper Rings is another great track this album absolutely couldn’t do without. However, there’s plenty of tracks I found myself forgetting even after multiple listens: Afterglow, Daylight, and It’s Nice To Have A Friend. Furthermore, the first two singles deliver lyrical content that’ll make you regret checking out the song. From “hey kids, spelling is fun” to “there’s a lot of lame guys out there” to “you can’t spell awesome without me” ... ya uhm yikes. Then there’s YNTCD serving us “could you just not” to “shade never made anybody less gay” to “7 A.eaaM.” I feel bad ranking YNTCD too poorly though bc I like the instrumental n melody and ehh there was an attempt at showing her strong support to the LGBT community, which is sweet, I love the thought of that. I also appreciate the petition and music video associated with it, so I can’t hate it *that* much, I guess. I’d be lying if I said I always skipped it, only sometimes.
Anyway, bottom line is that it’s a mixed bag just like 1989 and reputation.

This album is really wonderful from my point of view. The beat, the rhythm, sounds and so on is really amazing. Also I could say that this time every song in the album contains a good story, and speak out her personal political opinion as well.

I'm so deeply in love with this album. It's possibly Taylor Swift's best work yet. The lyrics showcase her growth as a songwriter, and I'm quite sure 'Lover' will be a popular wedding song for decades to come. Listening to Lover has got me thinking about and feeling love in all sorts of ways - whether it's romantic, platonic, or familial. It's a whole masterpiece!

i'm a fan of lana del rey and i feel so ashamed to see all the negative things other lana stans are commenting. i know, swifties did this too, they gave lana a bad score just because she isn't taylor. BUT CAN Y'ALL PLEASE STOP? lana and taylor like each other so why are the fandoms acting so extremely immature? just support each other, it's sad to see so much hate :((

It’s an album that screams out for an editor, but when it hits the right notes, it demonstrates just why Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

Ultimately, Lover is overstuffed and meandering, but serves as a positive reprieve from her past struggles in the public eye, and represents an artist at the peak of her creativity, power, and—one hopes—continued romantic bliss.

Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
