Ever since red, Taylor has been really taking a hit when it comes to the fact that she has not grown as an artist or matured in her music or artisty. She feels even more clueless than the 16 year old girl she started off as with self titled. I genuinely did not enjoy a single track off of this album besides "you need to calm down" and that was only because of the hook. It also didn't help that Taylor was trying to "get the gay vote" with this album. Them there are the ridiculous actions of her fans. They are so utterly childish and this album goes to show the kind of audience she is pandering to. Taylor Swift is a strong, intelligent woman with great writing skills and she simply has not prooven this to the public in a long time but people choose to eat it up. I really hope that Taylor will start to grow as an artist again rather than the decline of the last couple of albums. It didn't help that she pumped this album out to push reputation under the rug, an album that very much failed to meet my expectations. The old Taylor is definitely dead and it seems it is for the worst.… Expand

    What a wonderful album Lover is! Every song is magic in its own way and while ME is not my personal favorite the rest of the songs definitely make up for it.

    Taylor opened her heart with the world in this record in a way that she hasn't done before. It's well written-produced-recorded. It's surely one of her best albums and the old Taylor is more alive than ever.

    THE ALBUM OF YEAR!!!! Hands down to queen Taylor she proves again that is one of the best songwriters of this era. Any song of this album has something special in it, production-wise or lyrics, love the way Taylor put out a mature thinking as a distinctive flag for the album with a message of hope and care for the feelings that we as humans feel everyday.

    I like tay a lot. But this album is not her best work. The album miss some spice over all. it is to much of the same or things we heard before of her. Im a little disapointed to be honest. Its not a bad album. There are great lyrics on the songs written. but overall I give it an O! K!. Sorry guys. Maybe if I hear it more I going to like it a bit better.

    The album is very well balanced and doesn't feel long or boring at all even though it contains 18 tracks. Once again Taylor proved to be one of the best songwriters in the game and the production is very different in every song thanks to the collaboration with Jack Antonoff.

    Definitely my favorite album released this year. Best pop album I’ve heard in years. It is filled with many jams that have great lyrical content. Although there are many upbeat songs there’s also just enough slower songs to balance out the whole album.

    It’s just another bubblegum pop girl album. While it may be thematically vulnerably In lyrics, it just fails to be different from her previous albums. The style of beats and overlaying are overused and not that pleasing, they’re more for a one time use for an aesthetic Instagram video and that’s it.

Taylor's voice sounds like an instrument (in a good way) and the production doesn't outshine her. I wish Selena was featured on one of the tracks. However, it's very personal and worth listening and don't even make me start with the lyrics, damnn...it makes yourFresh, romantic, authentic, it creates such a beautiful atmosphere and the way the tracks flow compliments the album so well. I loved 1989, but going into the pop sound she went with the 2014 album, I believe she sacrificed lyrics a bit, whereas in lover I think she paid closer attention to them. However, in my opinion, the album is too long, I believe with 15 songs the message would have equally come across, but I can spot just a few filler moments on here, "It's Nice to Have a Friend" and "London Boy" would be my least favourite tracks. However, in lover, Swift delivered some of her best material. When Taylor and Jack Antonoff team up they create pop magic, like in Cruel summer, a perfectly crafted 80's synthpop bop, or The Archer, with a really nice dreamy vibe and minimal incredible production.     O jeito com que a Taylor compõe é o que a faz tão expressivamente boa no que faz. Suas canções acompanham sua vida e nós conseguimos sentir tudo. O Lover é a expressão do bom momento que ela aparenta estar vivendo, todo o descargo dos sentimentos que a acompanharam, e é isso o que o torna tão especial.     Best pop album of all time, worth every second of listening to it, its such a mature and perfect pop sound that make you cry of the good album it is

    Album of career! It's the work the fans needed. mature, sentimental, intimate and sincere; without losing her new pop essence, sounds like an 80's pop/rock. It's magical what Taylor did here.

    Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
