A very varied album, with different songs to surprise with each one. The artist really managed to use his talent in the vocals and capture it throughout the songs to prove it.

One of the best pop albums that has come out this 2019!!! I love the style he has, it ranges from the danceable to the ballads. It's a very complete album

I've never imagined that Liam's first solo album could be so disappointing...It sounds extremely generic. A pity...He has a great voice though

the lyrics are genuinely boring and the sound is just so repetitive. Not what I'd listen to, it's nothing fresh for an era full of changes.

This is so bad that it deserves less than zero rating, the only good songs are the previously released singles

If youre looking for something different and exciting from an album DONT listen to LP1. Waste of time. Basically a mixture of generic pop dance songs with little to no lyrical complexity. The only bright spot is the use of strong bass at some points that covers up the horrible lyrics.

Not a very good album, really expected more from him, the music was cheesy and didn’t show his talent at all, very disappointed

If you've ever found yourself about to listen to Justin Timberlake but then thought to yourself "You know, I wish there was a version of Justin Timberlake that was more like a discount ALDI brand", then this album will probably tickle your fancy.

I just feel like Liam could prove to us so much more than this. This song is flooded with generic beats and a voice that doesn't vocalize any emotions, which makes the album boring and gives me a huge urge to shut it off. I really respected in him in his One Direction days (which he claims is past him now), and was seriously anticipating his solo work the most alongside Harry, but this isI just feel like Liam could prove to us so much more than this. I would define the word "bland" as LP1. Every track is a poor attempt at chasing one trend or another. Liam needs to try again with more effort.

What utter crap. This album is so disappointing. Boring, bland and uninspired. The guy actually has a decent voice and wrote good songs in 1D. This genre is not for him.

Dude went in completely wrong direction with his music. Wannabe rapper with horrible lyrics wrapped in pop bubble.

This album really showed who Liam is. The success he deserved was lost on account of the record company but that does not stop us from still giving value to this mature album.

He relies on inane songwriting concepts, rote misogyny, and feelingless flexing. The lyrics are puerile and half-baked.

Spread over 17 songs that tick off genres with all the flair of an automated Spotify playlist, Payne’s anonymity remains the album’s default through line. Occasionally painful yet weirdly Payne-less.

Ultimately, a few things come from repeated listenings of “LP1″: First off, the writing and singing aren’t strong enough and come across as C-level Timberlake material. Two, without being surrounded by 1D, he shouldn’t sing high, flightily and airily, but rather stick to slow, low groovers. Three, Payno should find one or two styles that work best for him — and not put a host of other singers before him, male or female — and stick to them.
