    Taylor did it again. Another beautiful album full of wonderful songs. For me, it’s a no skip album. I understand that people find the songs similar, but for me that’s not a problem. You just need to listen to it for a few times and then the songs are not similar at all. Don’t listen to the hates. Highlight of the year 2022.

    How do I explain this? I can't. When reputaion was realesed I sreamed: that is pop perfection. Midnights is Taylors perfection. Amazing synth pop melodies with Taylor deep lyricism are making this album... something else. Amzing expierience. Tak się robi świetny pop! Nie umiem pisać po angielsku kiedy czuję tyle emocji.     All the songs were different from one another yet sounded incredibly cohesive listening to them in order. Each time you listen to Swift's album, you discover a new meaning in it which makes you want to pay attention every single listen

    It deserves to be album of the year. The music still retains the definition of Taylor's old albums, but has been improved a bit, so it sounds a bit mysterious, but it's good to hear it again and again.

    I love how she dedicated this album to mostly talking about her own experience and her relationship with herself ! It’s mature but bubbly, I can hear so much of Jack’s touch in this and the details of the production are refreshing.

    I’m saving for special moments in my life to listen to it so It can remind me of them

    A return to the electro pop suits Taylor well. It has been great to take a step into folk land with Taylor but it feels even better to come back to this sound.

    I expected a sad 70s rock album. This was nothing what I expected. But I loved it anyway. Some of my new favorite songs are on this record. So different than her prior releases, I’m stunned how she’s able to shift between genres so effortlessly.

    A beautiful way of telling people how it is to be real. The changes that society is passing made the mental issues more common, and as someone who feels insufficient to be loved in most of the ways, “Midnights” is so relatable, at the same time it's comforting, a gift that Ms. Taylor Swift certainly have.

    I just love the whole album. I’m not a Taylor Swift fan, or wasn’t, but this album made me look her as never before. The album is very consistent, personal and rich. Lot of nuances in her voice. Anti-hero, you’re ok your own, kid, bejeweled and the Great War my personal favorites.

Anti-Hero was one of those for me, but after listening to it multiple times and seeing the music video I’ma big fan. Even though Midnights is a departure fromI have listen to Midnights (3am Edition) three times today. Anti-Hero was one of those for me, but after listening to it multiple times and seeing the music video I’ma big fan. Even though Midnights is a departure from folklore and evermore it is reminiscent of the 1989 and Reputation era as many reviewers have pointed out. Lover was an album that really took time for me to enjoy, but in the end I really did enjoy it and it may be one of my favorites. No doubt this one will be a favorite. I say 'even' because 'Lover' isn't my personal favourite, but it's still more than decent and has 4-5 songs that I love, so... it's just that when it comes to Taylor, I've come to expect greatness, and when it's just good    'Midnights' isn't Taylor's best album in my opinion, but still very nice.

I say 'even' because 'Lover' isn't my personal favourite, but it's still more than decent and has 4-5 songs that I love, so... it's just that when it comes to Taylor, I've come to expect greatness, and when it's just good or very good, I can feel disappointed. Well it's kind of the same with 'Midnights'. Very good, but not on par with my personal favourites (being Red, Speak Now, Folklore, Evermore).

    Some songs are very groovy and catchy : 'lavender haze', 'anti hero', 'karma'.
    Some are more experimental / personal, and less likely to be a bop, but I still like them VERY much : 'you're on your own kid', 'vigilante **** 'mastermind'.
    And some are pretty boring to be honest : 'labyrinth', 'bejeweled', 'maroon'... Not my cup of tea anyway.

    The albums gains weight and depth with the '3am songs', some of which are really good ('the great war', 'would've, could've, should've', 'dear reader'). I don't like Paris though. The song. Not the city. I live in here and I love it. The song doesn't do the city justice. But anyway.

    Production wise it's... well, it's cohesive. But I feel like, ever since Red didn't get the Grammy in 2013, she's been obsessed with making 'cohesive' albums, which I don't get. To me, an album doesn't need to be cohesive to be a great album. 'Midnights' is very cohesive but it doesn't make it better than some of her more diverse albums. But that's just my opinion.

    I like Taylor best when she gets dramatic and unleashes the beautiful and sharp lyrics, the key changes, the waves of contradictory emotions... A few example of this in various albums of hers are : 'Mary's song', 'the way I loved you', 'dear John', 'all too well' (obviously), 'out of the woods', 'getaway car', 'cruel summer', 'august', 'betty', 'champagne problems'... I don't find many songs with this 'dramatic' vibe that I like on 'Midnights'. I'm still vibing to some songs ('lavender haze', 'karma', 'the great war'), and enjoying some lyrics ('mastermind', 'you're on your own kid', 'dear reader'), but there's no all encompassing masterpiece of a song in here, save maybe 'anti hero'.

    I've read some critics here saying that, if this album wasn't by Taylor, we wouldn't pay it as much attention and hype. Which is probably true, to be fair. But it doesn't make it a bad album either.    … Expand

    Wild, beautiful, and dreamy pop. Poplor at her best for sure!

    There's a randomness to the lyrics that only people who dream vividly can pinpoint but Taylor takes that randomness and ties it back to a feeling, very evident in anti-hero. Made even better with the additional 7 songs on the 3am version.

    Really love this album.

There are 21 tracks and by the end, for me upon first listen, songs blurred together, becoming monotonous, but that is a very wrong impression of what the album is like.     There's bops in the album like Lavender Haze, Vigilante **** or Karma, but going between bopbs and ballads doesn't match and doesn't work for long time. We need to understand that this is not an invented story, this is Taylor's life so the fairytale lyrics from Folklore and Everemore can be separated from this album.     Taylor Swift Midnights is such a roller coaster ride of emotions 10/10 from Lavender Haze to Mastermind I can feel her vulnerability through her songwriting and her voice.

    Definitely very surprisingly good!! Taylor has really outgrown the repetitive radio comercial songs pattern and found her own way of story telling. The level of greatness for the lyrics and production is profound. Being a musician myself I know how hard it is to achieve breakthrough and constantly creating new things in music.

    I absolutely loved this album. I was already expecting to be good, but not on this level. This is a pop masterpiece. The lyrics for this album are good and it's perfectly produced as well. Her best work ever. Album of the year.

    I've been waiting for a Taylor Swift x Jack Antonoff creation for literally years and it was worth the wait. The dark synth sounds alongside her twisty lyrics (excepting the fun of Karma, of course!) make this a perfect addition to her already impressive catalog.

    After the grandiosity that “folkmore” was, it would be really hard for Taylor to keep the pace up. Unfortunately, in my opinion, she didn’t. But, it doesn’t mean necessarily that she didn’t manage to make a great album too. Lyrically wise she did great with “Anti-Hero”, “You’re On Your Own, Kid” and others. The main flaw on midnights for me is its production, which reminds me of “Lover”. AAfter the grandiosity that “folkmore” was, it would be really hard for Taylor to keep the pace up.
