    Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff and the other Collaborators put everything they’ve learned so far into this great album. Jack’s amazing production and Taylor’s beautiful songwriting and vocals seem to be a combination of all of their previous works. This album reminds me of the best parts of Red, Reputation, Lover and Melodrama. However, Taylor’s songwriting is lacking in a few tracks, like inTaylor Swift, Jack Antonoff and the other Collaborators put everything they’ve learned so far into this great album. Jack’s amazing production and Taylor’s beautiful songwriting and vocals seem to be a combination of all of their previous works. This album reminds me of the best parts of Red, Reputation, Lover and Melodrama. However, Taylor’s songwriting is lacking in a few tracks, like in Anti-Hero (love the message though) and Karma. This is definitely one of Taylor’s best album (might even be her best) the suspension from the day she announced it to the actual release has been unmatched from any other album release I’ve seen both online and in public aswell. Not only is Taylor going back to pop music but she’s doing it in such a classy and unique & beautiful way that’s makes you feel as if you can listen to this album on repeat for hours on end.     Love all previous works of TS but this album is a huge disappointment. Cover does not suite to the sound. Me (so as everybody else) expected alternative rock/pop, but we got a modern pop. It's just Melodrama (Lorde) + WWAFAWDWG (Billie Ealish). Lyrics are bad and not interesting. Compare to the lyrics from Folkmore this is a regression. Very very upset

    A no-skip album! I love the concept of the album! Taylor is such a great songwriter as always. I love the sounds of this album!! Definitely a MASTERPIECE!! SHE'S REALLY A MASTERMIND!! Taylor swift always evolving with her music and I love it. So far my fave song is Lavander haze, Anti-hero, labyrinth, karma, midnights rain and sweet nothing!

    I love her vocals on the album, the production is incredible and it has some of her best lyrics ever. This is definitely the best Taylor Swift album, she outdid herself. I love this album very much and it’s probably my favourite pop album ever.

She probably has her whole life already planned. .. The album has so many new sounds, it's a mixture of lover and reputation with the depth of folklore.

This new sound really fits her voice and even though her lyrics are not at the level of folklore or evermore, this album is no slouch in that department, being perfect for a pop sound but retaining what makes Taylor Taylor, its witty lyrics.

    Taylor’s tenth studio album “Midnights” is exactly what she was destined to make. I feel like every major album cycle for Taylor we say this, but this time, Taylor has fulfilled her destiny in pop music. Starting from the first track, “Lavender Haze,” its clear Taylor is going for something new. I would say overall, it seems she was shooting for something closer to her sixth studio album,Taylor’s tenth studio album “Midnights” is exactly what she was destined to make. I feel like every major album cycle for Taylor we say this, but this time, Taylor has fulfilled her destiny in pop music. Starting from the first track, “Lavender Haze,” its clear Taylor is going for something new. I would say overall, it seems she was shooting for something closer to her sixth studio album, “reputation,” and if that was the goal, she did well. This is exactly what many people wanted from rep. She took the dark motifs and put it over production that did not sound dated from the second it turned on. This is a very well done project, production wise.

    Track by track, “Lavender Haze” is an instant favorite. The melancholy throughout but also the dream-poppy sound makes that track one of the best. “Maroon” is much more up the alley of Taylor’s normal pop work, and “Anti-Hero” is one of the strongest tracks on the album both lyrically and musically. “Snow on the Beach” was probably one of the only disappointments from this album, as Lana Del Rey did not have much of a part in the singing of this track, but “You’re On Your Own, Kid” quickly makes up for this. While not as lyrically strong as predecessor track fives “My Tears Ricochet,” and “Tolerate It,” it is still a sad song and strong musically. “Midnight Rain” is one of the weirdest tracks in Taylor’s discography, but it works and fits nicely, and adds to the difference between the tracks to see through a cohesive album, but not monotonous. “Question…?” Is probably my personal favorite track on this album. The sonics are unrivaled, and it is not particularly surprising as I am a big bridge person, myself. “Vigilante **** was unexpected to say the least. It does not feel like much of a song, but it fits perfectly on this album. “Bejeweled” nails the in between in terms of “1989,” and “reputation,” and I have feeling that “I make the whole place shimmer” will be a pretty common instagram caption over the next few years (and rightfully so). “Labyrinth” musically feels like a good continuation of “Bejeweled” but it’s not overbearing, and not so monotonous that people think it’s the same song (thinking “Afterglow” and “Daylight”). “Karma” was unexpected, and “Mastermind” is one of the stronger songs lyrically, and closes out the album perfectly.

    Overall, “Midnights” is one of Taylor’s best albums, if not her best. Obviously, it’s not on “folklore” and “evermore’s” level of lyricism, but musically runs circles around them.    … Expand

    Embracing a more experimental pop field - synth-pop, Swift tries to do something better - but I don't think she can. Overall, most of these songs are boring and repetitive - despite very well written, as usual. It's a shame that this was the root she chose after the brilliant "Folklore".

    As soon it was release, taylor caught all my fears and insecurities I once lived during my midnights and the ones are yet to come, it's my good place, she is my good place.     A monumental piece of art. She really brought back her unique 1989 synth pop style and merged with melodies that feel like folklore and evermore and created a legendary album. And that just the sound. Lyrics stunning as always, she shows so much maturity and confidence in herself. Finally she feels comfortable enough to open herself for the whole world. Congratulations

    Same old Taylor swift, nothing new. Her lack of growth is very apparent on this album and when she tried to do something “different” on a song like vigilante **** she completely fell flat on her face. I’m just wondering how she could have such weak songwriting on her 10th album. Let’s hope for some more inspiring work from ms swift in this future.

    Taylor dived into synth-pop with a hint of alternative, every song feels fresh. The kick in the beginning with Lavender Haze is surly one of the greatest accomplishments for this album.
    Tracks like, Anti Hero, Lavender Haze and Vigilante **** will get more attention from the public, but songs like Mastermind, Sweet Nothing and Bejeweled should be valued just as much!

    miss swift released another spectacular album filled with surprises.. at first listen i liked MOST songs and then slowly the rest grew on me. when she started the album with lavender haze, i knew this album was gonna be a masterpiece. and guess what she broke gazillion records with this album. those who thought she was over must be crying right now. I've been a swiftie since 2012, i grewmiss swift released another spectacular album filled with surprises.. at first listen i liked MOST songs and then slowly the rest grew on me. when she started the album with lavender haze, i knew this album was gonna be a masterpiece. and guess what she broke gazillion records with this album. those who thought she was over must be crying right now. I've been a swiftie since 2012, i grew up with her and you dont know how proud i am of her. the maturity in her voice makes me so overwhelmed with tears. when i thought i couldnt love this album any more, she released the 3am edition. i couldnt stop the tears. aron dessner and taylor really made some BEAUTIFUL songs. his touch on the album is like the cherry on top. not to mention jack antonoff.. there is not one song he produced that i dislike (no cap). anyways those who say "where's the lyricism from folklore evermore?" can s/u/ck my non-existent d**k. cause when she released those albums yall called it boring and were asking for better vocals. only us older swifties know just how much her vocals have improved in 16 f**kin years. the lyricism is still there in midnights yall are just too dumb to understand.

    Taylor Swift did it again, this is so strong and incredible, hands down. Taylor is in her 5th peak era and almost above the level of other albums. This is my new personality, welcome midnights me.

    Taylor Swift managed to switch between genres and explore sounds like just a little group of people have been able to do so. And even with the album being announced in advance she managed to do a surprise drop. She truly is a mastermind.

    I didn’t know it was going to be a pop album and I am so thrilled because it’s one of her best works! If you were waiting for more folklore/evermore you just don’t know her art, she is constantly changing and evolving and she just doesn’t fail ! I’m in love with this album & especially with Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve, just perfection.
