    Our Love is at times emotional, and when its not, its still greatly enjoyable stuff as well. Throughout the album's entirety you sense a fair amount of melancholy among all the electronics.

    Caribou drops this new LP called 'Our Love' four years after he released 'Swim'. In advance of this review, I can say this record just had me from the first day it was on my Phone. Our Love leaked very early, somewhere around August, which was a bummer for Dan Snaith but I celebrated the fact that I could enjoy this album early. I've Always been a big fan of Snaiths work, and I think withCaribou drops this new LP called 'Our Love' four years after he released 'Swim'. In advance of this review, I can say this record just had me from the first day it was on my Phone. Our Love leaked very early, somewhere around August, which was a bummer for Dan Snaith but I celebrated the fact that I could enjoy this album early. I've Always been a big fan of Snaiths work, and I think with this album, he delivered his best work to date. Our Love has the most similatirities with Swim, but what stands out is the variety on the record. The electronic soundscapes and melodies combine with beats in a way I haven't heard before. The single 'Can't do without You' is probably one of the catchier but also poppier songs on the LP. Second Chance is also a song which is written with, probably, this mindset. Apart from those songs, there are also the techno tracks, like Our Love and All I ever Need, which just have such a great interplay of groovy beats and continious repetitive vocals which brought me in a great vibe. The rythmplay I heard on All I ever Need was some of the kind I have only experienced with some Flying Lotus and Deadmau5(totally not comparing them!) tracks, which says a lot. The most impressive tracks on this album though, are the more Chillwave, dense, bass filled and chilled out tracks. De Soundscapes and soundwaves on 'Silver' and 'Back Home' are just as well structured and beautiful as it gets on any electronic indie album heard this year. Even the odd ones out, Mars and Dive, are tracks in a complete other genre, but please the expectations in there own way. Where Dive is one of the more quirky glitch-hop tracks released this year, Mars is just an Electronic banger from another dimension. Combined sounds on this track, and on the album in total, are just so well written, that this record once again testifies Snaiths great musical virtuosity. He didn't fail to impress the elektronic indie world once again, and completely fulfilled the expectations of this album. We may ony applaud.… Expand

    I bought this album on a whim and I really didn't like it at first because I felt that it was repetitive, but after multiple listens I realized that this is a pretty good album. It's nice to relax and study to. Can't Do Without You is the best song on this album in my opinion.

    pulses with a live feel, but they’re all underpinned with the best elements of house, live jazz and even ambient music
