Fans of Sult’s style and metallic blues riffs will find a few gems among these tracks, but this is merely par for a Clutch album.

It's brilliantly bluesy, pure rock, played with so much energy that you want to join them playing it. The instrumental work is great also, and so are the deep, soulful and aggressive vocals (accompanied by silly lyrics!). It's great fun, and instantly recommendable.

I would put it in the middle somewhere on a list of my favorites albums, but its Clutch and its a excellent album on its own right. I believe they do have 11 studio albums though, no short list. Psychic warfare like, Beale street, starts off with 2 songs that are joined at the hip and those 2 songs X ray Visions, and Fire birds are two of my favorites also. It progress briskly through the first 4 songs with a nod to ZZ top in there, and then slows for a very good song in Our lady of electric light and a instrumental.. Only to roar back to fast swinging rock with another one of my favorites Noble Savage and ends with a memorable song in Son of Virginia. All and all a admirable effort from Clutch, with a relatively short time period between Earth Rocker. The Rock Rolls on!! Full Review »

Great lyrics and like all good albums, really gets its hooks into you around the third or fourth listen. It's not their best work, that belonging to Blast Tyrant in my opinion but I really enjoyed it. Full Review »
