The Mysterines' raw, gothic debut crawls under the listener's skin, thanks to singer Lia Metcalfe's impressive vocal range. [Apr 2022, p.88]

Reeling is undoubtedly a solid step on a road to a successful career, and one that will find this band honing in on both its desired path as well as strengths that will become clearer as time goes by.

Though not a flawless effort, musically speaking, this band’s baby teeth are not far off falling out.

Mysterines a band from Liverpool England sound familiar? I had to check twice as it only noted three people but that just goes to show talent plus with lead vocals and guitar. They rock the house on Reeling. I had to listen to more of their catalogue from past releases because frankly they are popular in England but not so much in the States. I felt as though the vocals could have been more prominent in the production and it also seemed a bit rushed but all in all a rocking good album and worth a listen. This butterfly is almost out of it's cocoon and it is long overdue. Expand
