Arguably her best album to date. Most of the songs are very well done and well written. The first song gave a very nice way of introducing the story she want to send in the album and the ending song put a really calm emotion to the this upbeat song dominated album.

Taylor wears the bad girl outfit and go haunt trick or treats with all of her dejected resulting in a pop masterpiece that will make her reputation sounds even more interesting. The old Taylor Swift is dead. But we like the new one better.

Taylor wears the bad girl outfit and go haunt trick or treats with all of her dejected resulting in a pop masterpiece that will make her reputation sounds even more interesting. Going to diss' tracks about her fight against some rapper, Taylor shows that she can write ironic and acid songs as good as she can write love ones. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things is a pop-pity-party and you certainly want to be invited just to watch the circus show, while I Did Something Bad may catch you in doubt by the tittle, but make no mistake, she's feeling bad-ass and she's willing to do it all over again. And we want that! But, if you think she's caring too much about all this drama, even tho she knows that drama loves her, you are wrong. In Reputation there's songs about love. There's songs about one ex that she always had the bad feeling that wouldn't get her too a long ride, so she jumped into a Getaway Car and drove away (is like she says, you better leave before you get left) going straight to a perfect love that nobody was expecting, not even her! The soft sexy improved Taylor wanting her perfect lover to take off her Dress, the trademark she always liked to use when she was just too pretty and just too naive, goes all the way to the madly in love Taylor in New Year's Day, the kind of song that you want to live in it. Party, friends and happiness ends but somebody will stay to help you clean all the mess. Did you notice the metaphor? Because we did. We all are just like this Taylor lover. We came all the way down, we drunk all the bottles and we spread glitter all over the floor, but we stayed. Because Taylor Swift is just too good to miss.

This album shows what ultimately came Taylor - a smooth transition from the "true country" in the face "Taylor Swift" and "Fearless" to have more pop, but still country "Speak Now", which turned out to filled with simple motifs and primitive, but genuine and incredible sounding "Red", after which we heard directed at the mass audience "1989", full of iconic pop style.
And in the end we got a "reputation", which completely showing only her strong and tough side and killing the image of Taylor as a singer, singing only about her next ex-boyfriend. Despite the abundance of electronic sound, melody and vocal melody in "reputation" will not disappear - there's a beautiful contrast (especially noticeable in the song "End Game", recorded together with absolutely different-sounding singers - Ed Sheeran and raper Future), which showing Swift as one of the greatest performers of our time, who can combine electronic beats with beautiful smooth vocals.

It is very intelligent of Taylor to take the role which media has portrayed to create lyrics that make fun of her and the media. Definitely a good move of killing 2 birds with one stone as it definitely has capture the media and the general public attention. The concept of having half songs talking about her reputation portray by the media and another half talking her side of the story is a unique concept which shows that not everything portray by the media is always right, and often or not, it's always providing a misconception of the true artist that Ms. Taylor Swift has always remain since she started her career. She explained everything that she passed on the last years and she did it very well. All the news and gossips about her made her strong and more creative. This album it's her best so far.

There was an air of ambivalence and skepticism with which I approached this album, mostly because while 1989 was a successful pop record, its lyrics felt like a step down from some of the more hard-hitting and quite frankly intimate lines from albums like Speak Now and Red. 1989 was introduced as a "reinvention" album, but reputation truly embraces the reinvention theme and allows theThere was an air of ambivalence and skepticism with which I approached this album, mostly because while 1989 was a successful pop record, its lyrics felt like a step down from some of the more hard-hitting and quite frankly intimate lines from albums like Speak Now and Red. 1989 was introduced as a "reinvention" album, but reputation truly embraces the reinvention theme and allows the Swiftian lyricism to transcend starry-eyed pop to more adult and contemporary themes. I was more than pleasantly surprised by how sharp and pointed some of the lyrics were and with Swift's improvement with the song times, with all of them clocking at or under the four-minute mark. The pre-releases for the record do not justify the overall work, and I strongly commend the lyricism and production, which was narrowed to a small group of producers, a trend becoming more and more popular in the current pop music landscape, where albums like 'Melodrama' (Lorde) are regarded in a fairer light than the airy, multi-producer, 'evil' pop. However looking at the execution of such album like reputation shows that taylor has ecided to take a step and transcend the pop game from the witty girly to romantic fillers into a more dark twisted and at time sequenced, synched and trippie with songs such as look what you made me do to the future and ed track which is actually good seeing that future mumbles the **** out of his words and lyrics which leads me to wonder how google broke from translating his "words". AHHAHAHAH anyway though the song ready for it is very inspiring and a COD like kind of montage so there goes to show taylor has transcended to different paths of mix genres. Also gorgeous and new years day stick to her roots that she employed and satired during her red and 1989 era. Taylors back however one or two more guest wouldnt have hurt such as kendrick lamar and possibly zayn but a well done and executed project worthy of being called 'classic' in contrast to her other albums except possibly 1989 Expand

Overall, this is an okay pop album - at least each of the songs is pop enough to be acceptable. "King Of My Heart" is definitely the best track of the album, with a sweet yet upbeat vibe. LWYMMD really had me fooled. This is a fantastic pop album by Taylor, and I can't wait for what this era brings. I Did Something Bad, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, Ready For It, Getaway Car, and Dress are my favorites.

Swift proves once again that her pop song writing skills are superior to the skills of her peers with an album so incredibly focused, personal and cohesive it feels even more like an exclusive look into her mind and heart than her previous efforts.

Well, Ms Swift wasn't lying when she promised us that "the old Taylor is dead" on the polarizing bombastic electro-clash lead single 'Look What You Made Me Do'. Indeed, the sixth studio album from the Nashville-based superstar introduces a fiercer, more determined, and more experimental persona, with a sound that'll appeal to a wider audience than that of '"1989". On first listen, it might feel weird to listen to these brand-new polished-pop tracks, and what's even weirder is that it's hard to believe that they were made by the same person who made an album like "Speak Now".

There's no denying that Taylor really took a leap with this record: we heard her cuss for the first time ("I Did Something Bad"), sing about sex so explicitly ("Dress"), and even turn that little grin she sometimes put on previous songs into a full-on blown drunken-like laugh ("This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things"). Long gone is the story-telling, but the lyricism i still as sharp and as personal. The productions, the little vocal effects, the variations, and the auto-tune (there's tons of it on there) are all very-well done. Even though a track or two might feel boring ("So It Goes..." didn't click with me), there are a lot of songs that are sure to light fires inside of the listeners ("Getaway Car" is easily a highlight, "I Did Something Bad" and its outstanding witchcraft-referencing bridge, "Delicate" is so reminiscent of "Style", and the beautiful emotional demo-like closer "New Year's Day"). It's important to note that the parts where she's singing without auto-tune showcase her best vocal deliveries since she first started writing songs: her voice has grown deeper, and subtler.

In conclusion, this is definitely not Taylor Swift's best album, but it is very personal, and very cohesive, and very sonically-adventurous, and that's good enough to make an everlasting effect. But If one thing's for sure about this record, it's that it is definitely worth the hype.

This is obviously the best pop album of the year. And that's saying something, because Lorde's sophomore album was very good as well. Taylor took everything people are saying about her and turned it into lyrical gold-as she always does. Buy it. Buy one for your grandma, grandpa, dog, cat, fish, sugar bowl. Literally, everything could use a little reputation in its life. :)

Reputation plays with differents sounds in each song. Swift give us an album full of stories about her personal life and somehow, that's beautiful. This album prove us why she is one of the most influential artist and songwriters in the world, and maybe, of all the times.
Best songs: ...Are You Ready For It?, Getaway Car, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things and New Year's Eve.

Gorgeous was a straight her worst song for years but her last promo single, Call It What You Want gave us a slight hope that Reputation will not be her worst album to date. Yeah, don't judge book by its cover. The rest tracks of the album truly are the saviour (did she try to save the best because it seems so). First impressions are way too different compared to the ones I had with the past albums, this album is completely different, I had the musical feeling of the past albums with only one song in this new one. You can feel a more mature, more serious, more determined Taylor Swift on this one.

I’ve listened to every single and album by TS, “Reputation” marks a new era for TS, it leaves the road so open for the upcoming album in around 3 years telling everybody that she isn’t locked to a style or genre, that anything ANYTHING can happen. She went on airplane mode for about a year, no interviews, no major online activity, no everything, low-key life 100% and boom, here you have it: a solid album targeting awards. Another best album GRAMMY? Not sure, yes, well, no, I don’t know, it’s just the first album play. Too many great albums these months. Time will tell.

I’m a professional EDM producer signed to major Trance labels and I can feel the huge effort put into this album, the Pop/EDM/Trap mixture is wonderful, innocent commercial Trap sound by the way, not the real nasty one hehe. Tons of great pop sounds merged with future bass synths, great synth LFO tweaks. This album has modern (futuristic) sounds everywhere, the Trap hi-hats are perfect. Vocoder use enhance Taylor’s voice properly. “…Ready For it?” is such a great song to start it all. Bass is so powerful that it hits your chest. “I Did Something Bad” is a storm of beats with crazy synths trying to mess with your mind. Did I mention that low frequency sounds are stunning on this album? Yes! “Dancing With Our Hands Tied” has a professional bass sound everywhere, the kick keeps pounding in your head without any introduction. Ed Sheehan & Future help Taylor to communicate a strong message on “End Game.”

Taylor took a new path in her life and music, the world saw this. This is like a 180 degree change. Now I’m curious about the tour, the live performances and more because I’m sure these will be different too. You will find only the singles released in the past weeks in streaming platforms. TS and her team are marketing experts, releasing the rest of the album everywhere except streaming platforms is brilliant, it attracts sales, an album sale is worth hundred times a streaming play. This era will affect her Reputation.

Part rumination on engaging with the pop icon and part deep end even after eating the meal, Reputation keeps the ball in the air, argues for moving forward, even if it’s herky jerky.

Swift’s unencumbered analysis of the tectonic shifts within her personal and public life are equal parts razor sharp and self-indulgent. But as a pop album, Reputation is never revolutionary, the adrenalin rush heady but ultimately short-lived.
