This album is not original. This is super average, jumping into the trends, Travis is biting all his features on this. Hed didnot find himself here. This is super dissapointment, this is some **** overrated, all he does is vampirizing his producers and consigners, this is wack as **** 6/10

This album has an excellent production and it sounds like the complete package until you actually listen to Travis' lyrics. Every verse he's on is whack af.

After multiple hearings, I have come to the conclusion that Rodeo is simply just an "Ok" album from an Ok artist. Sure, it has great moments like tracks 90210 and Maria Im Drunk, but overall it's a soulless album from an empty vessel called Travis Scott. Ok alright!

First official studio album for Travis. And what a solid start ! Originality is definitely a top quality of this project. We never stop going from short uppercut tracks to long melodic and fazing songs. Featured artists do their job to perfection, bringing less autotune, fast-paced lyrics and different ways of being original. Travis doesn't fear to explore new beats, miscellaneousFirst official studio album for Travis. And what a solid start ! Originality is definitely a top quality of this project. Listening to 'Rodeo' is an unique experience. You feel accompagnied all along the album by powerful emotions, stubborn rhythms and melodious flights. Still the major problem I have with it is its repetitiveness. Some songs are totally ruined by never-ending hooks. Let's take '3500' : how many times do we have to undergo the 'only trill n***as I know' shout ? Same for 'I Can't Tell', which the title is chanted throughout the whole 4 minutes of the song. Same again for 'Flying High', and again for Young Thug never letting go of 'call your friends, let's get drunk' in 'Maria I'm Drunk'... Repetitiveness is the reason I give this score to 'Rodeo', because repetitiveness made me saddly hate some of the tracks of the project. I truly wanted to love it but this ruined 'Rodeo'. Hopefully we now know that Travis is an artist who needs to experiment to grow. It's clear we never would have had 'Astroworld' without 'Rodeo'.

Somewhere beneath all the hype and production he does shine through.

Yes, the production is razor sharp, the beats are skewed and often very loud which makes them feel important, but in reality, it's all a façade; an image.

Rodeo deftly accomplished one thing: Scott's sound is cemented. [#267, p.93]
