SteveHFeb 20, 2008This is a brilliant record and really grows on you with repeated plays. I don't think there are any weak tracks and definitely in my top five of 2007.

AndyPAug 16, 2007just gets better and better. Fantastic melodies and an edginess to the whole album that keeps me going back for more. Looks like they finally got round to releasing the classic album they always had in them.

helmutw.Aug 13, 2007This cd will make you smile.Finest somgwriting, one foot in the 60s/70s,one foot in today by ignoring all the hip trends of the so called britpop. They deserve to sell millions.Hear them and fall in love with this wonderful band.There aren't that much of them today.

Roots And Echoes is an album of songs with all the warmth and familiarity of old leather--and as strangely unexciting as that sounds.

Melody takes precedence on Roots And Echoes, and this makes it stronger and tighter than The Coral’s previous releases.

Roots and Echoes is a brighter, considerably more settled record than previous outings, less inclined to meander skittishly into dub, mariachi and sea shanties.
