Extremely impressed with this album, nineteen85 and Daniel Daley really come through on it. It's old school R & B with a very cool modern twist, I prefer this to Views to be completely honest, thus album is actually very underrated as well. The production is so nightly, some real night mood type stuff, very sensual, and very Toronto.

Also discovered them when ''With Me'' came out & the mysteriousness around them just made me hang on every little thing they did since. Sept 5th is a work of art, it's such a beautifully produced album. I feel Daniel Daley and Nineteen85 have only just begun & I'll be watching from the front row. Fan for life.

One of the best R&B albums I've heard to this date. Silence is the greatest power that is highlighted by this album.

Found DVSN back when he first came out with "with me." ever since I have been watching his progress and this album reflects his unique R&B style of music. Amazing Album!!!

A really pleasant album to listen to when you have the feelings to do so. However I did not expect much from this but still got a bit disappointed. Boredom grows more and more as the 46-minute project goes on and on. There are some original moves like the electro-style sounds and singing parts but this get totally erased by generic R&B lyrics and production. The two longest tracks 'With Me' and 'The Line' certainly do create an immersive atmosphere but there is actually nothing really exciting about it. This truly seems effortless for the duo. Expand

I might have been late to discovering dvsn but I am impressed with the album. Their sound encompasses the true nature of any genre alternative. The sound mixes hip-hop-inspired drums and soulful samples that complement the drums to give a mellow RNB vibe. The project is a masterclass

As a whole, it eschews the current R&B trend of existing within multiple genres or creating a genre unto itself, and the collection is unengaging because of it.

This group is wise and capable enough to eschew nearly every shortcut of today's personality-first music culture and dial into the silence between the noise. It's what confidence sounds like.
