This follow-up is, if anything, even more exquisite.

[Illuminates] Nash's own cosmic poetry, crunching guitars and swooning pedal steel. [Dec 2015, p.94]

When it comes to Israel Nash's Silver Season, it's impossible to get tired of it. Try it--it won't let you down, either.

Last year Sturgill Simpson combined psychedelia and country music to great success. Israel Nash takes that idea to a tangential place, with results equally successful yet more likely attuned to those who reject anything with a twang.

The harmonies carry you back to the seventies and accede to the American mood in music. The psychedelic impact of the pedal steel guitar and mellotron are combined with the beauty of the country. There's no point where he's doing the exact same as before, because Nash is able to feed himself more than before with his warm voice and profound musical structures.
