Throughout, Thug injects his distinctive presence when necessary, pulling the best out of the YSL crew and serving as a tasty sampler of their individual talents.

Endearing, ambitious and a tad overstuffed, Slime Language is a literal and figurative family reunion. However, like any Black family reunion, the project captivates when the young are allowed to flex in front of the father and claw their way from the periphery to the main stage.

At the end of the day, Slime Language suffers from being predictable, which is the last thing you’d ever want or expect from a Young Thug-affiliated project. The lesser-known artists don’t make much of a mark, the more notorious features are the clear highlights, and the project, as a whole, offers nothing to compete with the highs of Beautiful Thugger Girls--let alone the hallucinatory string of releases from 2015.

A project that Thug uses the same flows very often, but still makes creative songs enlisting great features from many different artists.

Slime langueage is an interesting pick. Young Thug wants to and is trying to go beyond his capabilities, but he doesn't succeed.

But it's actually listenable to, in some extent. The cheerfulness of the album, makes it a lot of fun to listen to, but of course there's still the case of some blend and generic beats.

Tsunami is a skippable song, but the record gains my interest in the song "U ain't slime enough" featuring Karlae, which is his girlfriend, and she was actually quite good, that is a good song, Gain Clout isn't bad, and quite short which i can appreciate, but from there i goes in to generic mode, picking up with It's a slime, which has a nice feature from Lil Uzi Vert. Scoliosis for some reason is my least favorite of the bunch, i can't even point it out, but i just don't like it. The song January 1st, is a song that grew on me after my third listen.

The record doesn't transcend anything in the trap genre, but it's solid as far as Young Thug is concerned

    Favorite Songs: U ain't Slime enough, It's a Slime, January 1st
Least Favorite Songs: Scoliosis, Slimed In

It has a few great high points, but it suffers from Generic Trap Syndrome greatly.
