People didn't like Melodrama at first, and today it's considered a pop classic. I'm sure this will go down in the books as a memorable album in a year or two. Every summer from now on will have Solar Power as it's soundtrack. It's beautiful and heartfelt.

Lorde demuestra, una vez más, ser la mejor escritora de su generación. Un disco que abraza la tranquilidad y te permite sentir nostalgia por haber dejado atrás la vida dramática de la adolescencia.

Beautiful instrumentation and lyrics. This new album is so experimental in Lorde’s career but, also fascinating. The production is so exquisite and quite cohesive. If you’re expecting for a «Melodrama 2.0», you won’t find it but, you’ll get some vibes.

The lyrics are amazing as usual, there's something about Lorde that only her can capture the feelings and put it on words. She was absolutely right when she said that this album was a little bit about New Zealand, when I listen to it I feel myself in a New Zealand Beach in the summer with my friends. Another album of her that's so well producted. Tks Lorde and Jack Antonoff for the AMAZING job

Jack Antonoff's contributions to this production can't go un-missed, and their teamwork shines through. The themes are so exotic feeling, as if summer is breathing on your neck and all there is to do is look inside yourself and feel good about it. I've listened three times, and the highlights for me are The Path, Solar Power, California, Stoned at the Nail Salon, Fallen Fruit, Secrets From a Girl (Who's Seen It All), Dominoes, Big Star, Mood Ring and Hold No Grudge. This is the exact album you could expect from her after being 4/5 years getting stoned on beaches in New Zealand away from the public eye and living her best life. Her alternative sound now with a 2000s acoustic guitar/piano production is the perfect mix, a lot of people are calling it boring or a downgrade from Melodrama but I see it as a natural evolution from her and her music, giving more versatility to her discography since none of her 3 albums sounds nothing alike. When more people start making this sound and shift away from the trap-pop and the 80s synth pop trends going on people will called it a masterpiece ahead of its time when now they're bashing it so if you're enjoying this album and it's a perfect 10/10 album with you that flows perfectly and has 0 skips now, congratulations because that means our minds can comprehend the art this album is! I love how she reinvents her self in every album. This sounds nothing like "Pure Heroine" or "Melodrama" and that's the cool thing. She is growing up and experimenting with her sound. At first listen and after reading some fan reviews I felt a little disappointed, but after 4-5 listens to the album, I really love it and think it has no skips. I can't wait to hear this record on my vinyl player!

This album is amazing. It’s different from what she had made the last few years, but it’s experimental and pretty much a grower on me (except fallen fruit and mood ring which is an instant bop). IM IN LOVE WITH THIS NEW DIRECTION!!

This is so different from the previous albums and all the songs that she did. It's different yet the same because of the connections she did between the era's of her albums and life. Yellow and golden and all the other summer-fall colors bring such nice meaning into this record and it fully makes me recharge my energy every time I listen to it. It's purely therapeutic. I am so proud of her, and I am so grateful for this record. I'll keep it safe deep inside my soul and my heart. Happy Solar Power day guys! Enjoy, vibe out, let it sink into your veins and be okay! Sin duda alguna uno de los mejores álbumes de Lorde, no podrá ser un Melodrama 2 pero vemos la evolución tanto lírica como de sonido, un álbum perfecto para el verano.

All these connections Lorde is trying to make: her strange pastiche imagination of the ’70s, that random spoken word interlude by Robyn about climate change, and the themes of “sun healing,” never fully reach each other. Often, they come off as disingenuous and out of touch more than they read as brilliant, or comical. Whether the album is one big prank, or just one majorly failed experiment, the gist of having the “privilege to ignore” is lost in translation. All you are left with is just a handful of pretty alright songs.

If you're riding and vibing with Lorde, this bright shapelessness is superb mood music. If you're not riding her wave, Solar Power can seem elusive, even cloying, as it circles and sways with a smile.

This might not be the album that everyone wanted from Lorde, but it’s a solid, dreamy effort that deserves exploration. There’s plenty here worthy of attention if you can focus for long enough.
