Aug 1, 2023Not as good as melodrama but it’s still good. She conveys many issues such as climate change and fame and it’s just too good
-
Mar 23, 2023Unpopular Opinion: Solar Power is far from bad, but we're so used to gloom and melancholy, gloom and blue that it was hardly going to be an appreciated album.
8/10 -

Mar 1, 2023Lorde perfects every sound she tries. Sonically, a wonderful sun-soaked, relaxing album. Lyrically, almost haunting. With an overall theme of 'relationships' (both personal, with the environment and herself), there's such a powerful and beautiful message. Solar Power is an album I haven't stopped listening to, and one I'm sure I'll continue to listen to throughout my adulthood.
-
Feb 4, 2023Solar Power is a display of evolution of Lorde, and it is a beautiful one. The expectations were extremely high, as Melodrama was a masterpiece and Lorde disappointed the people awaiting for a similar album. However, when looking at SP not in terms of sophomore album's continuation, it shows its high quality.

Oct 5, 2022Another great cohesive album from the amazing Lorde but this one is more plain than the previous ones so it feels disappointing. It's still great but looks worse when you compare it to the previous ones.

Aug 22, 2022Uma suavidade tão gostosa de se ouvir. Esse ano eu preciso ir no show da Lord!
-
Aug 21, 2022boring but kind of grew on me. good for a beach day i think. not her best work at all though
-
Aug 20, 2021lorde ended everyone. aoty. as a justin stan i can confirm she ended that racist with sm ease.
-
Aug 21, 2022It's not the best album of her, but it was really misunderstood and underrated.
-
Aug 21, 2022Such a beautiful album. If only people would stop being depressed... I definitely recommend it, it will change your lives
-
Jul 6, 2022this album has no structure, difficult to digest in my opinion but I rescue and do not deny that Lorde is a very good artist.

Jun 5, 2022It is sad that nowadays people are only focused on fast-made tik tok pop music. This album is a beautiful compilation of golden songs. Even though it is something different than what Lorde made us used to, it still keeps her essence. It deserves more recognition.
-
Jun 4, 2022it got a lot of hate, but personally i love it. it's a different vibe from the rest of her stuff and i just don't think we were ready for it last year.
-
May 20, 2022It's a grower honestly. When SP came out I was disappointed, but now I'm glad she released this one. No, I'm not rich like her so I can ignore life because I don't have to work or something... but c'mon, it's not like ya'll relate to your favorites artists like... the parties, rich ass life all that **** and now ya'll picking on Lorde now. It's great.

Apr 3, 2022Chato.
-

Mar 22, 2022To me, Lorde is growing up after Melodrama which is perfect because that makes Solar Power a bridge to next albums. It's so nice to see that main pop artists try to make music in different way. This album was too different from her debut and sophomore albums but either way this is a realy good album.
-
Mar 2, 2022An album that takes time to process and an album that’ll get even better with time.
-
Aug 21, 2021A little bit sad. Not the sound of melodies or a concept of the album. It's just not the Lorde I fell in love with a long time ago....
-
It's the only thing I'll say.

Dec 7, 2021When her fanbase wait 4 **** year to this dirty **** Completamente decepcionante, la única creatividad del álbum está en la portada que para colmo está plagiada de "Free", no eres incomprendida ni diferente solo eres muy sosa.
-
Dec 6, 2021It’s perfect to me,or better, almost. Because have somes details that should more cool, but It’s good anyway.
-
Dec 1, 2021I knew she'd never be able to do an album like melodrama, but never thought she'd do a terrible album like this one.
-
-
Nov 24, 2021no because this album is an intricate masterpiece you truly won't get it the first time i thought it was a flop too but i was just blind to the truth once you raise your vibration and elevate your soul you will hear what i hear
-
Nov 21, 2021This is an album that takes a lot of time to listen too, it actually grows on you the more you listen to it, while there are songs that sound the same there are some really great standout tracks like Fallen Fruit, Mood Ring, & The Path. While it is a step down from Melodrama it isn’t a bad album at all, it’s different and unique, it’s a great relaxing album to listen too, it just takes time.

Nov 19, 2021This is a really fair record. Lorde's comeback worthed the waiting. She served once again.
-
Nov 18, 2021I love love love Lorde, and have bought the vinyl to support but… I feel this will sit on the shelves and won’t get much spin time. It def an album you need to be in the mood for, not sure which mood that is yet to be determined. I won’t stop trying though as she is really invested in this, maybe before it’s time ?
-
Nov 18, 2021Sure it's not as good as her first two, but what is? We still got Stoned at the Nail Salon out of it.
-
Nov 14, 2021Another jack antonoff produced threat. The album feels like one huge song…and that ain’t something good

Aug 20, 2021This is an awesome album by Lorde! The melodies, the lyrics are perfect. Lorde has created a world full of sunlight and warmth while still staying true to herself. 10/10
-
Nov 1, 2021She wasted 4 years and only have this to show for it. A complete disappointment and snooze-fest album.
-
Oct 31, 2021I have been working during my final years in college. When the pandemic hit, I decided to go back to my parent's house on an island. I have been here for 6 months now and have been listening to the album since its release. This album is so special to me because it feels like a friend, a home, or an older and wiser version of me.

Oct 24, 2021The worst album of 2021 , so disappointed she can do better , it’s just not good , the production is bad , the songwriting is bad , the songs are bad like big star , dominoes , oceanic feeling and the rest of the album .

Oct 23, 2021no,just no,boring as hell, literally anybody with a voice can make this record.
-
Oct 22, 2021it's a piece of **** totally unbearable to listen to. Better than Lorde shouldn't release more music just with Melodrama was fine
-
-
Oct 22, 2021Such a massive disaster. Lorde can’t even sing, so far from melodrama and so close to a terrible Lana del Rey’s copycat.
-
-
Oct 22, 2021The return of the true queen of the alternative is wonderful, in this album Lorde writes songs about how young people face their problems through different cultures but these same behaviors harm cultures, she shows us that she has the ability to produce and write in an IMPECCABLE way, we needed the queen's music
-
Oct 22, 2021Totally indifferent this album is lorde's worst work so far his songs just me They were bored apart from their great plagiarism towards other lorde artists I can only tell you to take a 10-year break so that you can bring us a better work
-
Oct 22, 2021the album is very good, lorde has clearly matured and, even though this may seem a step back from melodrama, the quality is still great. the production is a little repetitive sometimes, but at least you can tell that Lorde and Jack wanted the album to be cohesive, like an immersive experience.
-
Oct 22, 2021wow what a downgrade, even the lyricism is not helping lorde whatsoever, boring album without any standouts

Oct 21, 2021I really loved Solar Power with my heart. It's not as somepeople say, they say that just because it get fad. Disclaim yourself and "stay as long as you need to get familiar with the feeling" so you can fully apreciate this work. She do that again and i just love it.

Sep 28, 2021The theming and the very mellow sound didn’t fully capture me, but there’s still too much good here to warrant a score below positive. Stream Fallen Fruit folks

-
Sep 19, 2021Solar Power is a collection of subdued songs, which are quite similar to each other with only few elements tearing them apart. Just like Taylor Swift's folk albums, songs from Solar Power can be an okay background music with only few standout tracks. The title tracks shows that Lorde knows how to build-up the song, while "Mood Ring" has nice production choices.

Sep 12, 2021This album Is really cool and fresh. Is a great return for Lorde. Production Is really good and the lyric is just divine.
-
Sep 11, 2021Decent album, not memorable enough though. I wouldn't call it bad or boring, just not exciting enough. Also has some good songs. I love Mood Ring the most.
-
Sep 9, 2021After Lorde's amazing, groundbreaking Melodrama, Solar Power seems weak in comparison, with the same, airy and boring theme running through. The lyricism is also subpar. The ideas that are trying to be presented are either not being done well or just weak. I don't know what happened to Lorde but this is definitely a great disappointment.
-
Sep 9, 2021This album sounds like a fairy tale. It's possible to see Lorde's evolution
-
Sep 9, 2021It is an amazing album, every little sound is in the right place. And for those who said that this isn't a good album and we have no taste, i just wanted to remind you taste is something that you can't judge. I love this album, you do too? cool. You don't? don't come at me and i won't come at you.

Sep 7, 2021One of the best albums of the year.
People are disappointed because Solar power is different from Melodrama, but Lorde is not a artist who sticks to one style. She explores new sounds for every album, which not a lot of artists do these days -
Sep 6, 2021

Sep 5, 2021This album is a masterpiece, the songs are beautiful by the sounds and lyrics. Lyrics are amazing and powerful.
-

-
Sep 5, 2021I love how she reinvents her self in every album. This sounds nothing like "Pure Heroine" or "Melodrama" and that's the cool thing. She is growing up and experimenting with her sound. At first listen and after reading some fan reviews I felt a little disappointed, but after 4-5 listens to the album, I really love it and think it has no skips. I can't wait to hear this record on my vinyl player!

Algunos tracks suenan igual.
-
Aug 20, 2021It’s an amazing work, the lyrics makes you feel everything, sadness, happiness, nostalgia, euphoria, and the production it’s wow

Awards & Rankings
-
Aug 30, 2021All these connections Lorde is trying to make: her strange pastiche imagination of the ’70s, that random spoken word interlude by Robyn about climate change, and the themes of “sun healing,” never fully reach each other. Often, they come off as disingenuous and out of touch more than they read as brilliant, or comical. Whether the album is one big prank, or just one majorly failed experiment, the gist of having the “privilege to ignore” is lost in translation. All you are left with is just a handful of pretty alright songs.
-
Aug 26, 2021If you're riding and vibing with Lorde, this bright shapelessness is superb mood music. If you're not riding her wave, Solar Power can seem elusive, even cloying, as it circles and sways with a smile.
-
Aug 26, 2021This might not be the album that everyone wanted from Lorde, but it’s a solid, dreamy effort that deserves exploration. There’s plenty here worthy of attention if you can focus for long enough.
