    A Step Forward

    Super Critical is by far a better album than "Sounds from Nowheresville". The album is great and it easy to enjoy, i takes inspiration from Random Access Memories by Daft Punk. This album is totally different from "We started nothing" but it is equally good, "Super Critical" is a step forward for The Ting Tings, it demonstrates the band's capacity to evolve and to take    A Step Forward

    This album is totally different from "We started nothing" but it is equally good, "Super Critical" is a step forward for The Ting Tings, it demonstrates the band's capacity to evolve and to take into consideration new trends without loosing their essence.

    If you are a fan from The Ting Tings you will definitely enjoy this album and if you have never listened to them it is a good start.    … Expand

    While to me it doesn't live up to the pure songcraft of We Started Nothing or the diversity of Sounds from Nowheresville, this is still a pretty enjoyable pop-rock album for what it's worth. The jumps into disco & 80's pop are nice additions, and the best moments do generally stack up with the best moments from those past albums.

    To be frank, I expected nothing from this duo after the dud that was "Sounds From Nowhere". This meant I was pleasantly surprised that this disc brought back the rock, funk, and humor that made me notice them in the first place.     The Ting Tings aren't quite ready to grow up and stop partying, but the maturation on Super Critical takes them out of the "overbearing pop flash in the pan" category and suggests they may have even more interesting statements ahead of them.
