    This album was hyped up and did not deliver. Sounds like it was quickly thrown together, and from everything I've read, it was. Damn, the beats are weak. I'd say this album went 5 for 15 (33%). The only reason why I gave this a 6, is because at least it is not the typical R&B rap you hear everyday on the radio. This album is not for Hip-Pop listeners. Where's Kanye on this joint? Beans is just an above average rapper at best. Lyrically he just rhymes one syllable words that I learned how to rhyme in kindergarten. The Neptunes track is soooooo weak....to be honest I'm sick of those dudes. The reason they get on albums is the name to sell records, nothing else. People are bashing the quest spots, but I see them as a savior. If not for those quest spots, this album drops by at least two ratings points. Sorry Beans and DameDashMusic, but ya put out some real mediocre material. Without Jay, Dame you ain't nothin'. Expand

  1. Those looking for a direct story of how Beanie earned three years in the clink will be somewhat disappointed, but these chunks of insight into the man's turmoil -- and the couple party tunes that go with them -- add up to one hell of an album.
  2. The B. Coming attempts to document the emotional upheaval Sigel went through during his trial and conviction, but from the start the sober moral tone and forced gospel choruses make it obvious the MC's mind is on other matters.
  3. The B.Coming is no metamorphosis; Beans remains the same powerful but limited rhymer, a blunt object hammering the mic and stumbling after the ghost of Jay-Z.
