This is one of the best albums I have heard in the last 5 years. BJM seem to just continue to get better and better. I thought Revelation was a brilliant album. This one even more so.

This review contains spoilers. Amazing thing about BJM is that you can’t tell if their latest album is their first, middle, or last…their sound is enduring, unique, and avoids trends and categories. They know how to make incredible music and just keep cranking it out. Rock music needs the BJM Collapse

Anton is exploding with inspiration and we can hear on this LP the results of a band that actually tours and play together, very organic sounding music and mixing the guitars are on front of the mix and the vocals laid back but still on a nice volume to get the lyrics... they don't have that awesome drummer guy anymore so the beats are nothing special, but ok. In the end, The Brian Jonestown Massacre isn’t among the band’s top 3, most accomplished efforts, however, it represents very well the gist of their sound. Moreover, it is one of their most consistent and cohesive LPs, offering something for most fans out there.

While there's nothing particularly new or breakaway on this self-titled release, it’s a familiar feeling that will leave fans more than satisfied.
