Its blander additions aside, more often than not, Woolfy vs. Projection's latest proves to be a refreshing recess from the dancefloor, a lazy LP recorded in the Northern California woods that's as cozy as it is otherworldly.

"March of the Wizards" and "Chameleons Tale," just end up sounding boring and out of place. Subtract these songs and The Return of Love is an impressive album that does almost exactly what it sets out to do, and sounds very pleasant while doing it.

For the most part, it's content to lull the listener into a state of bliss.

The problem with The Return of Love is that it is, in many ways, a faithful replication of '70s disco and '80s synth pop without doing very much that's new.
